CREAK-
The sound of foot steps are getting closer and closer. Shane's body frozen in the darknes. Fortunately, trash bins and the corner of the blocked alley help her for hiding nicely. Although she want to run away so bad, Her body couldn't even move. She also can't stop trembling that she afraid it will causing some noise. She keep whispering as if someone could hear her wish. But she doesn't know that was a just useless. Who's going to pass by such a dirty neighborhood? Even if they need to get rid of trash, surely they decided to do it in the morning, instead of having accompanied by the dark night.
"Where are you, my human girl?"
The creature's voice is heard from afar wich make Shane holding her breath. Reflexively she cover her mouth and nose, she afraid if the sound of her breath can draw it's attention. She's getting a sense of the death coming closer. She shut her eyes.
"You like playing hide-and-seek, don't you?"
Shane gave in. She still confused with the situation. Just a while ago when she leaving from her office, she's got surprised with the appearance of a mysterious guy who was came out from the dark. He steps forward toward Shane. She doesn't got it while the guy tell her, that she is the mate that he'd waited for so long. That she's now has the right age. Hearing that thing only give Shane goosebumps, and when the distance between them is getting shorter, she realized someting was off of it. Standing under a street lamp only exposing his figure more.
His height is tall enough comparing to most people in the neighborhood. He's covered in the black cape, made him easy to hide at the night. Shane stepping back quickly. Her eyes widened and her fear only got bigger when her eyes drew something different
Although, in Shane's opinion, he isn't a human. He looked like in the same age as her, but he has gold lighted yellow eyes with thin pupil like a cat. His every strands that blown by the air, his black hair looks so contrast compared with his pale skin. And the most important part was a couple fangs that came through his lips when he smirk. She sure if some long sharp nails that could kill her with only one attack, was hidden behind his black cape.
Shane's breath stopped for a second. Before that creature can touch her, Shane made her move and run with every energy she had. She won't risk her life and endded being killed with his hand. Howefer, Shane stil have to pay her little sister's school bill, who is the only family member she had. So she want to keep her life save and continue her work.
Shane still shut her eyes. She try her best to not make any noises. She doesn't know what to do. The silence that come out of the blue makes her confused with the move he'll make.
Although she feel the situation become save, but Shane cannot release the relief. She have to focus. Who knows what will happend there. Until suddenly,
"Found you."
A voice right veside her body makes her look at the side real quick. She screaming loudly when she know who's voice was that be.
"AAAHH!! DON'T COME CLOSER!!"
Shane crossing her arms in front of her chest for self-protection. But he move faster than she thought. He grabs Shane's body and put her on his left shoulder.
"Let go of me! Put me down! Who the hell are you?!"
"Just stop hitting me and shut up." He ordered. In a blink of eyes, they arrived in other place.
"Wh- where is this??!!"
He push Shane's body on the bed. He come closer. Shane trying to escape but unfortunately, she can't. She close her eyes shut. She couldn't feel his breath, though his face is one inch away from hers. Surely something is off.
"Listen. I'm Raiden. And from now on, you, are Raiden's mate."
He whispers. Shane frozen in place. Smirk rises in the corner of Raiden's lips, then he speaks,
"Welcome, Shane ..."
