There's a saying in our old village that i will never forget in my whole life. A saying that will bring fear and make you crazy, begging for forgiveness. I, will never say those words. And I, promise not to.
Our district is a small town, maybe 300 hundred of people lives here near the woods. We don't fear the dead. What we fear is. Those ruthless monsters manipulating our existence in this small area. They are called: The Vampires. And they hide in the dark, alluring their next victim. They may have the looks, paliest skin and dark-grey eyes that would make you fall for even just one glance. Red kissable lips that would somehow open (fangs shown) and ready to devour you're blood.
'Looks can be very decieving.'
"Have you heard? A young woman was found dead in just a few blocks away." a woman in her forties started the conversation here in the bus stop. I duck my head and pluck my ear phones, waiting for the next bus to stop. It always happen. Nothing special, as long as me and my 'kuya' is safe. I will have the reason to stay alive.
( 'Kuya' is a term for Older brother )
I'm in my junior highschool. Wearing the ordinary uniform, short palda skirt and the upper white polo with a black necktie. I wanted to live peacefully, i don't want to hear these creatures sully name.
A blue bus stopped and it was my chance to step forward when someone bump me hard that i fell from the ground.
"Ah-" i think i hurt my elbow. The folks help me stand up and i said my thanks and get inside the bus.
"Don't mess with that man, iha. I heard that he was one of those people in the gang." Aunt marie, my neighbor warned me. I nodded my head in return. The guy is wearing an all black outfit, i'm sure of it that he is still a student. His clothes covered all over him. Wearing a black mask, his aura is enough to make all the passengers here. Quite as dead.
But there's one thing i saw that made my heart race so fast. A silver keychain was hanging at the mans left pocket and i am not sure if it's- it's old and so as mine. I gave that 'thing' to my older brother last year in his birthday, we bought it from Boracay.
('Iha' is a term for young girls and 'Iho' is for young lads)
I got home holding the plastic with a small grocery 'kuya' told me to buy. "Oh, hina is home. Is my baby hungry" That doesn't sound like he's asking.
My older brother fetched the plastic and kissed my forehead. He is my stepbrother, my mom married another man when dad died. But apparently they both died on a building crash.
My kuya is carring and responsible so i have nothing to complain about. But there is something in my head that is bothering me for years.
Kuya is an unemployed graduate. He doesn't go out much too. But how come we have enough expenses to spend for my colledge? This is weird. But in the first place i already said. I won't complain.
"Is anything bothering you Fu Yu Hina?" Yes, there is. You never said my full name before and you're changed. Am i hallucinating?
"Kuya, can i go with my friends to the beach?" I shouted in shock when he banged the table and it broke into half. I'm trembling. A hint of confuse mixed my fear in my mind while it mutter words like.
'He has never done this before.'
'Did i asked something wrong?'
'He's scaring me.'
