Female lead's pov
If I can turn back time, I'll go back to when I was 17. No wait, when I was 13, because that's when I first saw him. He was an two faced psychopath who managed to fool everyone around me, including me. I thought to myself, that knowing his secret would help him stay away from me. But, it became a key to him instead, he made my life hell. To the point that one day I found myself standing on the tip of the school rooftop, contemplating whether to jump or not. Yet even when I was there, he came and stirred up my thoughts.
"Leave, that's the only thing I can offer you.", those were his last words, or I thought they were.
Three years later, I found myself sitting in a business dinner, discussing about my engagement with him.

Since childhood, I found myself as an offering. An offspring who was brought into the world to satisfy others. And my childhood was often filled with fancy parties and business meetings. I found my own way to survive. I was always told to put up a smile on my face, and be considerate of others and put themselves before me. My true self lived in the shadows of my life. All was going well, until she appeared into my life. She was just another person who approached me for what I have to offer. Until she found out my true self. A shadow I kept from the world. To survive.
Three years later, I found myself in a bind, when she really enters my life, and the next thing I know, I was pursuing her under the effects of a love portion.
