Day 5(Memory of horror)
"After the world watched half an entire continent sink, the world government called together the best scientist and geologist to try and explain how something like that could happen." laughing
"Like mare mortals can understand such a thing. They couldn't give an exact answer anyway, not because they couldn't tell the reason but because they simply didn't have the time to start a research."
"The next day started with another surprise."
"My phone kept buzzing with messages from different social media platforms...
(Flashback to 4 Days ago, 2am)
Buzz buzz... buzz buzz... buzz buzz...
"Oh what is it this time?" I reach for my phone on the night stand while mumbling something about getting off social media forever.
My eyes shut open in surprise, sleep was completely forgotten as I began to scroll through pictures and videos from one of my social media, all from different people but the contents were very similar. At first I put myself together trying to make myself believe it was probably just a new movie trend, so I clicked on one of the videos.
"Oh my God!"
What I saw was simply horrifying. It was a video from a famous influencer who based in Australia.
"This can't be for real right?" I watched in horror as a mud tsunami rolled into the city, covering both cars, houses and people running around for their lives. As if that wasn't enough to make the video scary, I could hear a loud laughter coming from the wall of mud tsunami.
Yes it was indeed alive and laughing. Chills went down my spine and I couldn't watch the horrible thing anymore so I stopped it.
I turned on my night light and took in a deep breath before scrolling though a different social media platform. I came across another video from a follower in Scotland and decided to watch that instead.
"Please let this one not be as bad as the last one."
I clicked on play and what I saw was people running around crazily while screaming and crying, that included the person filming the video too. It almost looked like a riot but I later realized they were being chased by something.
"RUN RUN RUN, IT'S COMING THIS WAY... NOOOO, TAKE COVER!" those were voices coming from the video followed by a loud roar.
I nearly screamed as I saw a huge dragon scoop down and grab a lady that had tripped and fell.
The person filming had turned the camera towards the sky and I lost my breath as I saw dozens similar fierce looking dragons flying around in the air and some were swooping down and scooping people, cars and other huge things around.
BOOM!!!
I jolted up as I heard a loud explosion from a distance. I went out to the terrace of my apartment and immediately got scared to death. My eye were wide open as I watched what I thought was smoke rising up into the sky.
"What on earth is that?" before another word could come out of my mouth the earth started shaking and another exploding sound was heard from another part of the town. Neighbors had already started panicking as we saw smoke from that direction as well.
I ran back into my apartment and sat on the couch. After all the pictures and videos I had already seen, I didn't need a prophet to tell me that what was happening all over the world had started happening in my small town in Canada.
"OK Jose calm down, calm down and think..."
I said to myself reassuringly then started taking deep breathes in with my nose and out with my mouth, then another...
BOOM!!!
"OHHH MY GOD!" I started panicking because this time it sounded close by and the smell of sulfur was thick in the air.
"Think think think think Jose think..." I ran around the house trying to grab different things I thought were necessary for emergencies like this.
I grabbed a backpack and stuffed it quickly with my first aid kit, some canned foods, cookies and energy bars, a few bottles of water, lighter, flashlight and a blanket. I also picked up my old grandpa's crossbow and arrows he had left me before he died.
"Never thought you'd come in handy. I hope I never have to use you but just in case."
With that said I was out of my apartment and ran down the stairs. When I got out of the building I saw others had already thought of the same plan I had, to evacuate.
Some people packed heavy while some were packed light, it was almost funny as I watched some people had even carried chairs along with them.
"And I thought I was crazy for taking a bow and arrows."
I rushed to the parking lot to find my car had been scratched at the drivers side. On a normal day, I'd be mad because I had just finished paying off the mortgage but today wasn't normal at all so I just opened the door and threw in my bag and weapons before hopping in, stating the car and drive off.
"Next stop Mom 'n' Dad's." I couldn't help but worry about my parents. They weren't too old and dad was definitely though but I was still scared anyway.
As I drove by I saw from the position of the first explosion, something that looked like a fountain of water burst out of the ground and spewed out into the air followed by steam and more smell of sulfur and other minerals.
"What the...Is that hot spring?"
