Ep:1
Luna was eighteen years old.
A quiet college student who preferred sitting near the window during lectures rather than joining conversations.
She wasn't popular.
She wasn't the type who could easily make friends.
In fact, she only had one close friend.
But there was one secret she had never told anyone.
A crush.
A small, embarrassing crush on a boy from her class.
His name was Ethan.
He sat three rows ahead of her.
Sometimes he answered questions in class.
Sometimes he laughed with his friends.
Sometimes Luna caught herself staring at him for a second too long before quickly looking away.
Of course, Ethan had no idea she existed.
And Luna was perfectly fine keeping it that way.
At least, that's what she thought.
Because on one ordinary afternoon, her entire life changed.
Classes had ended.
Students flooded out of the college gates.
Luna was walking home while listening to music when something strange caught her attention.
A little boy.
The child looked terrified.
His body trembled as he slowly stepped backward.
Standing in front of him was a man with an unsettling smile.
Luna stopped walking.
At first, she told herself not to jump to conclusions.
Maybe it was a misunderstanding.
Maybe it was a relative.
But then she saw the boy's eyes.
Fear.
Pure fear.
The kind of fear that made a person's body freeze.
Luna looked around.
Adults were nearby.
Several people had obviously noticed the situation.
Yet they simply watched.
Some looked away.
Others pretended not to see.
Nobody intervened.
Nobody questioned the man.
Nobody helped the child.
Luna felt anger rise in her chest.
The man suddenly grabbed the boy's arm.
The child flinched.
Then the man began leading him away.
Luna immediately followed.
Her heart pounded violently.
She knew this was dangerous.
She knew she should probably call someone.
But every second felt important.
What if the boy disappeared before help arrived?
What if nobody came?
The farther they walked, the fewer people remained.
Eventually, the man led the child toward an abandoned cabin hidden near a wooded area.
The moment they disappeared inside, Luna's fear reached its peak.
She should leave.
She should call the police.
She should find another adult.
But when she imagined the frightened look on the child's face, her feet moved on their own.
She entered the cabin.
The man immediately noticed her.
His eyes narrowed.
For a moment, surprise flashed across his face.
Then he laughed.
"What are you doing here, little girl?"
Luna swallowed nervously.
"Let him go."
The man smiled.
"And if I don't?"
The child looked toward Luna.
His eyes silently begged for help.
Something inside her snapped.
A struggle broke out.
The cabin echoed with shouting and crashing sounds.
Luna fought desperately.
Not because she was brave.
Not because she was strong.
But because she couldn't stand by and watch.
Not like everyone else had.
When everything finally became quiet, the man collapsed to the floor.
The room fell silent.
Luna stood frozen.
Her hands trembled.
Her breathing was uneven.
She didn't know what to feel.
Relief.
Fear.
Shock.
Maybe all three.
Then she heard the child crying.
Immediately, she rushed toward him.
"It's okay."
Her voice shook.
"But you're safe now."
The boy nodded through tears.
Luna helped him leave the cabin.
A short while later, they found his mother desperately searching through the streets.
The woman burst into tears the moment she saw her son.
She hugged him tightly and thanked Luna again and again.
For the first time that day, Luna smiled.
Maybe everything would be okay.
Maybe she had done the right thing.
Maybe...
She was wrong.
The next morning, Luna arrived at college.
Students chatted in the hallways.
Teachers prepared for class.
Everything seemed normal.
Until police officers entered the building.
The entire hallway became silent.
The officers walked directly toward her.
"Luna."
Her stomach dropped.
"You are under arrest."
The words felt unreal.
"What?"
"You are being charged in connection with the death of a man found in an abandoned cabin."
Luna stared at them.
"I was trying to save a child!"
The officer remained expressionless.
"That may be true."
"Then why am I being arrested?"
"Because someone died."
Whispers spread through the hallway.
Students stared at her.
Some looked shocked.
Others looked frightened.
Then Luna noticed Ethan standing among the crowd.
For the first time, his eyes were on her.
Not because of a class project.
Not because of attendance.
Not because she had accidentally looked at him.
He was looking directly at her.
And there was disbelief written across his face.
"Luna..." her best friend whispered. "Tell me this isn't true."
Luna lowered her gaze.
"It happened."
Her friend looked heartbroken.
The police escorted Luna away.
And behind her
Ethan continued watching.
Unable to look away.
Days later, the trial began.
The case quickly became national news.
Television stations discussed it.
Social media argued endlessly.
Some called Luna a hero.
Others called her a criminal.
Some blamed the adults who had done nothing.
Others argued that nobody had the right to take another person's life.
The entire country seemed divided.
Inside the courtroom, Luna stood quietly before the judge.
"Why did you do it?" the judge asked.
Luna lifted her head.
"Because I wanted to save that child."
The courtroom fell silent.
The prosecutor immediately stood.
"Regardless of her intentions, Your Honor, a life was lost."
Hours passed.
Arguments continued.
Finally, the judge announced the verdict.
"Luna is sentenced to five years in prison."
The room erupted.
Her mother cried.
Her father pleaded.
Her friend broke down.
But nothing changed.
Five years.
At eighteen years old.
Five years behind bars.
As officers escorted her away, Luna glanced back one last time.
Her parents.
Her friend.
Her college life.
Everything was slipping away.
And standing at the back of the courtroom
Was Ethan.
The boy she had secretly admired for months.
Their eyes met for only a second.
Neither of them spoke.
Neither of them moved.
But for some reason, Ethan's expression stayed in Luna's mind long after the prison gates closed behind her.
To be continued...
