Once there lived in a village,a six-year old girl named Tara with her father Daksh only. They used to live in a small cottage and used to lead a very poor livelihood full of misery.Daksh was a farmer by occupation and used to sell crops in the market.
One day it happened so that while leaving for his work,he asked his daughter,Tara that what shall he bring for her as a gift while returning home from his workplace. She gently replied that she does not need anything but on strong insistence, she at last told that she want a small rose. Her father promised her to bring so and asked her to take care and went.
Subsequently while returning home,he found a big, huge mansion where there lived a king along with his three queens only.Unknowingly,he plucked one of the roses from the orchard of the beautiful mansion which was spotted by the king himself.Seeing the king’s sudden arrival,Daksh got frightened and asked softly and gently that “who is he?”The king angrily replied that he is the owner of this huge castle. On hearing this, the feet of the farmer started trembling out of fear.He then tried to apologise to the king for the blunder which he made by plucking the rose, but all his efforts went in vain as the king refused to forgive him under any circumstances.Soon the king accepted his apology but to his surprise, the king put forth a condition to him after accepting his apology. His condition was that he has to bring and leave his daughter here as a maid servant for the rest of her life but he refused to do so.Following this, the king punished and sent him behind bars in the prison for disobeying his order. Not only that,he also sent a message for her daughter regarding her father,Daksh.
On receiving this message his daughter,Tara promised to bring her father back from the clutches of the cruel, tyrannical king. After reaching there, the guards on the gate did not allow her entry to the mansion. After pleading very much, they allowed and showed the way to the prison. On reaching there she found her father sitting and crying on the ground. She loudly called for him and asked “how it happened?”He replied that while plucking roses for her,he was being spotted and witnessed by the king.He then remained silent for a while in an intent of not disclosing her about the condition.Just then the king arrived who was eavsdropping on their conversation for a while and mentioned her about the condition. On hearing this, she agreed to be the maid servant but her father immediately denied to it.Seeing this unconditional love between Tara and her beloved father,Daksh, the king got emotional and asked his guards to free Tara's father and let him go with some roses from the orchard as a token of love and appreciation from him for his daughter.
So the moral of the story is:
“Love can even melt a monster’s heart.”
