Sam and Jane have been friends for more than ten years. They were always together, just like they were stick to each other like glue. Their parents were friends and automatically they became friends too.
Their house is in the same colony, they can see each other just by looking out of their windows. But even they were really close both didn't realise what they had for each other. They were always together and they forgot to listen to their heart.
Until something big happened and made them separate... Can't say separate, it was more like they were becoming enemies.
As we mentioned before, Jane and Sam's parents were friends and they were having business partnership. But one day, some corrupts happened in the company and both lost huge amount of money. And they begin to blame each other which resulted to be a fight.
Sam's parents left from the colony and begin to live in other colony. While Jane and her family was still in the same colony as before. Both the family began to hate each other so do their children.
There was a huge gap made in between Jane and Sam. They started to compete against each other and form different groups. When Sam wins in cricket, Jane won volleyball, When Jane became dancer, Sam become a singer.
They did everything opposite to each other showing their angry and frustration by making more and more gap between them selves. They were missing each others presence and care. But both of them wasn't ready to accept the fact.
One day, Jane got confessed by Leon in public. But Jane rejected him. Everyone was in shock to know Jane rejected someone like Leon, even Jane herself. She was thinking, Leon is perfect in every aspects. Then why did I rejected him? But whenever she thinks this, only one face came in front of her. That was Sam. Jane remind every thing happened between them. Whenever Sam came near, her heart beat began to increase and when ever she heard something about Sam, her concentration goes there automatically. Slowly Jane begin to realise her feelings for Sam.
Even if Jane had realised her feelings, she was afraid to confess to Sam. And moreover, they are enemies now. How can she just go and say she loves him? Won't she get rejected? There were lots and lots of thoughts going inside Jane. But at last Jane decided to confess.
She gathered up her courange and went near Sam.
"Sa... Sam.. "
"What? " Sam asked while raising his eyebrows.
"I... i wanna tell you something.. "
"What is it? Be quick, i don't have time to waste. " Sam said while looking at his friends who were playing football behind him.
"I... I... Love you Sam.. " Jane said it while closing her eyes tightly and grabbing her dress with her hands and squeezing them.
Jane slowly opened her eyes when she got no answer from the other person. She was shocked to see him laughing crazily.
"Wha-What happened?" She asked carefully and with confusing face.
"Are you serious? "
"Wha-what? "
"I asked, are you serious? To say i love you to me? huh? Daughter of a thief. You robed my parents and now you want to come inside our house by being my wife? How crazy your thoughts are. " Sam said sarcastically.
"Sa-sam.. But i... "
"No need to explain Jane. And the one i will love, won't be like you. Never be like you. Shameless thief's daughter. "
"Sam please don't say like that" This time Jane raised her voice a little bit.
"What if i say like that? What will you do? Thief's daughter... Thief's daughter... Thief's daughter...." Sam was being provocative while he received a slap on his face. Sam was startled and about to slap the other back, But what he saw made him shocked.
Jane was crying?
Why?
Why is she crying?
Did she really meant it when she said she loves me?
"I HATE YOU" saying this Jane went from there leaving behind the shocked Sam.
What Jane first said and last said only had one word difference. But the two sentences had different impact on Sam. He felt his heart is being shattered by the last three words.
Sam saw the crying figure running away from him. That night was sleepless for Sam. He was tossing left and right thinking about Jane. And he wanted to know does she really meant it when she said, she loves him.
Next say, When Sam went to the college, he only had one thing in his mind.. To see Jane. He waited but she didn't came. The days passed. It's been one week, still there isn't a trace of Jane. Sam decided to look for Jane. He went to Jane's house. Even Jane and Sam's family had became enemies. Sam got the same welcome he got before too. Because, both the family were considering each others child as their own.
"Uncle, where is Jane? "
"She didn't told you? " Jane's dad asked in confusion.
"What uncle. I didn't get it? " Sam was confused too.
"She have left here Sam. "
"What? When? How? "
"Don't you remember Jane had cancer in her spinal cord and she have to transplant it as soon possible. She was ready to do it. But one week ago, she came back home and cried a lot, and said she don't want to do the surgery. Even the surgery is done, she won't be able to be like before. The success rate is really low and don't want to undergo that much pain before dieing. We tried to make her understand. But everything was in vain, then she left the home."
When Jane's father stopped, Sam was really shocked. She left like that? Why did she disagree with the treatment in the last moment? Was it because of him?
But all the questions was unanswered. The one person who could answer it, isn't there anymore.
Sometimes, life is like that... Our happiness will be just in front of us. We could catch it. But.... We sometimes let it go for other things. Joy, being joyful... Even if there are lots of technical ways to make a smile on our face, it doesn't meant we are really being happy. When the term Joy came, this is what came to my mind at first.
So... Don't waste your time being angry. It's said it's really bad to be angry and our life is becoming short by being angry. While, being Joyful or smiling makes us live more.
