I once again tried to confess my dying love for him. I gathered my courage and let my pride fall on the floor infront of people standing in this room eyeing the unfolding drama with curiosity. I clenched my hands around the collar of his shirt and made him look straight in my eyes. My heart almost broke into two when I looked up to him to see those honey brown eyes of him,showing no emotion instead of coldness and even guilt.
I wanted to tell him that while he thought of me as a pawn I imagined him as the man of my life. The man I wanted to spend my life with.All the while we were together, the kisses, hugs those words of comfort from him was all real to me but to him it was all just a game.
''I love you.Please tell me, you do too. Please tell me the people present here are lying. They are lying.''
I tried to make him to speak but he stood still. He removed my hands from his collar and I let him. My hands came to rest by my side.
He fixed his shirt and looked at me.
''I don't want to lie anymore, Adalyn. When I heard that John Gambino had a daughter. I thought of using her as a pawn but after I met you and I got to know you.I never thought of you as a pawn.I love you just as you do. I feel in love with at the first sight of you.I never thought of you as a piece of chess in my plan.''
How can he?HOW CAN HE DO THIS? WHY DID HE HAVE TO HIDE IT FROM ME.
Now that he is has confessed the truth and said that he loves me but that is making me more confused. He did approach me with a motive. He did, didn't he?
A loud sound echoed in the silent room and my hand sting from the impact at touching his face.
''I LOVED YOU, YOU BASTARD.'' I shouted, tears uncontrollably falling from my cheeks.
