When Mark left hurriedly, he didn't notice the strange gaze of Sheena's mother towards him.
[They say that first love never works out, I guess that's true.]
"Mom, what's our dinner?"
I heard Sheena asked with eager eyes but I was tired because of work so I just told her to cook for herself then I went to bed.
But I wasn't able to sleep peacefully because that boy made me remember someone from the past.
[Now that I think about it, that boy didn't introduced his name.]
[That face]
[Those eyes.]
[Why does that boy remind me of him.]
.....
That night I had a dream, or maybe that was a nightmare.
"It was my mistake, please don't do this Roger!"
I saw a man and a woman happily smiling. But when I looked at the woman's smile, it made me feel regretful and angry.
"Miya, I'm sorry but I've finally find my happiness. I hope you understand. This has nothing to do about what you did, after all I understood why you made that choice and I don't blame you." I heard the man say sincerely.
But when I looked at those eyes, what I saw was pity.
After that the man and the woman married then had a child and they were very happy.
When I saw them that way, it made me doubted my choice.
[If I didn't made that choice back then, would things not become the way they are now.]
[Could it have been me by his side instead of that woman?]
The more I entertained those thoughts the more I felt like crying.

"Kringgggg!Kringgggg!"
When I heard the alarm, I quickly woke up.
"Oh no, it's already 8:00 AM, what the heck is wrong with this clock. I hope I can still catch up to him!" I quickly changed my clothes and went for a taxi.
[Mark , are you still there?]
[You said you wanted to meet but you're so late!What's taking you so long! I need to go , my father is already here to pick me up. I just want to know if you're still going to hide our relationship from your parents, after all I've already introduced you to my family?]
[Mark, it's complicated, it's better if we talk about it personally. But trust me I'm doing these for us and also for our parents.]
[Fine, I'll wait for you here, but I can only wait for you in 10 minutes.]

Dad came over to the house to pick me up.
When we just finished eating for breakfast, Sheena texted me saying that we need to talk.
" Dad, is it alright if we are delayed for about 10 minutes? I need to wait for someone."
" I think it will be alright! Oh are you waiting for Sheena? Tell her that you miss her and you're alone."
Dad said while smiling creepily.
" She already knows that you are here to pick me up. It just that I was angry last night and it seems like she noticed it. Why would she introduce me to her parents as her friend. I mean a friend and a boyfriend has a huge difference, right? I need to act cold so that she willn't repeat that again." I enthusiastically narrated to my dad what happened last night .
"Hmmm! I also don't understand why she would do that. But son, she must have her own reasons so you should talk to her nicely or else you will regret it... just like I did." When dad said these he had a wistful expression.
Then after a while I received another text message from Sheena.
[I'm outside your house.]
....
[How should I explain it, I hope he'll understand.]
After a while I saw him walk out of the door.
"So what now!" He said this as if he's in hurry.
"I'm sorry for what I said last night. It's just that, I can't introduce you to my parents yet , specially my mom. If mom heard your full name last night, she will be emotional."
I explained to him but he was confused.
"What about my name?"
"It's your last name that you got from your father. Your father is actually my mom's first love."
" But it's just first love right. I'm sure your mom have already moved on. It's wouldn't be a big deal if I were to introduce myself as her first love's son." Mark replied as if what I just said was nonsense.
"Mom still hasn't moved on, okay! She still has the photo of her and your dad and they even had a fight with my dad because of that."I almost raised my voice when I saw his expressionless face.
"Then isn't your mom so overemotional. Why not just move on, after all both already has their own family."
When I heard that I became angry.
"Oh really, you're just like your dad.
Both of you only care about your opinions. You don't want to understand the situations of other."
"Then you're like your mother, you are also very emotional." Mark said then he walked away.

In every relationship there will be conflicts or disagreement. And instead of letting the disagreement bigger, it would be better if you explain your side and maybe an apology. It willn't always work out, but at least you'll have a chance to work things out.
