Many among us have passions and dreams but most of us are conditioned to believe that a certain way of life is PERFECT and that must be our PASSION. Social media and Society nowadays have programmed our minds to the point that it's guilt tripping us to achieve the benchmarks imposed by the so called set standards.
The most common dreams are that of a Perfect life with a dream house, fancy car, luxury apparels, high end gizmos etc. We continuously want more expensive things in life with no end in sight. Materialism is the new found Passion of the millennials.
Some even have an undying need to get ahead of everyone, giving rise to FOMO and other related mental disorders. It is okay to take a break and pause, rather it's much needed for people who can't find meaningful relationships on social media.
Can we not have Passion for simpler things in life by just being ourselves in our shells and enjoying the little bliss that we cherish without being a part of this mad race.
Recognize the true Passion in you that could be any simple activity or gesture which you may hold and nuture it without seeking validation from anyone. Passions don't necessarily need to be ambitious or anything fancy, it could be charity, social service, gardening, blogging or anything similar.
To keep sanity in this millennium is no less a herculean task. This will worsen in the years to come as competition to possess the Best is daunting than ever before.
Therefore we have to maneuver our minds to break the vicious cycle of being the Best and instead recognise our true Passions which beyond the trivial pursuit.
