“Aaaaahhhhh why are we falling?” screamed Sarah. “How should I know?! I was just looking down at the river under us when I noticed we were falling to our horrible deaths!” said Amy in a half attitudinal half stressed way. “You mean the one where plummeting to? Well that makes perfect sense!” grumped Sarah. “Stop! Knock it off! You’re as bad as Thorn and Mathew! You're both worse!” said May “Wait… is that our Ballast floating down there?!”. “How should I know? I don’t know! I don’t even know what a ballast is! Why’d it have to be a hot air balloon, I mean like whoever planned this had to know I was afraid of heights right?” panicked Amy “ I mean like a regular island, Ok. Or even one filled with wild animals! Well, probably not. But an island with tales of creepy monsters and giant lizards! I mean like seriously right?” “Calm Down!” Screamed May “We’re going to figure this out so calm down! A ballast is something that allows a vehicle (or something like that) to float.”. Amy glaired hard at May “I don't need a stupid English lesson! I need a way off this stupid air balloon! Who would even send us here!” Karrie shifted over to the corner, “ the salesman said it would be a relaxing trip over a beautiful island and a great bonding experience with your sisters!” huffed Karrie…”WHOOSH” they were all submerged in water. They got knocked out but they were still buoyant when unconscious luckily, Or maybe not luckily. You'll have to decide for yourself in the end! I wouldn’t wanna survive if I knew where they were going.
When they were finally awake they were drenched and covered in sand. They all woke up around the same time, all still a little detached from everything that was going on, especially since they saw a little dinosaur looking thing bobbing its head and running in circles. They just sat and watched the waves trying to grasp all that had taken place. They were extremely confused and most of them had a migraine. They spent at least 20 minutes just trying to get the sand and water out of their ears. May was the only one who slept for an extra 2 hours. When she finally woke up and the others asked why she ¹slept so long she asked “Do you guys have a little boy that doesn't sleep just like your nephew Mathew?” they didn't answer her though. They just looked away exasperated.
By the time they realized what was going on it was almost night time. They clambered out of the sand and walked over to a cave by the shore of the river and made a little makeshift door. Once they got in the cave they went to bed. The night was long especially since their stomachs kept growling all night and their mouths were parched from the Sun beating down on them almost all day. It was difficult to sleep too, everybody kept bumping into each other because the cave was so cramped. It was almost sunrise by the time they all fell asleep.
“Wake up! Wake up! I found food! Food!” cheered Amy as the others rubbed their eyes and mumbled under their breaths. “What are talking ab-” started Sarah grumpily, then she saw the spherical objects in her sisters arms as the sun beat down on them. She immediately stood up, grabbed the insanely large eggs, and set them in a safe spot. For the first time in years, she hugged her sister. The others just sat wide eyed and jaws dropped, glancing at both the eggs and the others. If you couldn’t tell, Amy, Sarah, May, and Karrie are all sisters. Back to the story though. They all got up and started the day's breakfast. This is going to be amazing! They all chattered to each other as if they were at a family reunion or something.
After breakfast they went over to the river which was about 7 yards from their “campground”. They all drank some water and rinsed their faces. Suddenly… “WHOOSH, SPASH!” Amy cannon balled into the river. She popped her head out and smiled wiping her hair out of her face. “Come in. Come in. It's lovely! It feels great.” Chimed Amy “It's only about 2.3 fathoms!”, “You know, we don’t understand your fancy talk!” grimaced Sarah as she sat under a tree scowling at her newly soaked clothes. “At least I’m not just grumbling around!” retorted Amy. “Now, Now you two. Calm down. We don-”,”SHUT UP MAY!” Yelled Amy and Sarah in unison. They both looked at each other and burst out in laughter.
Later, they went to the shore again and started gathering pieces of their wrecked air balloon. Suddenly, a little pool of water started to vibrate, “THUMP… THUMP… THUMP…” and soon the trees started to shake. They all ran into the cave and hid behind a hidden wall. After a couple of seconds, a formidable T-Rex came out of the trees. They got an eerie feeling when it started over to them. They froze in fear as it came over to them. It started them down. Then, in a swift movement, they turned and marched over to their breakfast remains. With a sharp roar, the T-Rex swung its tail down and stomped into the forest smashing every tree in its path.
“Why didn’t I think about it? Why couldn’t I think it was a tyrannosaurus rex egg?” asked Amy rhetorically. “I just thought it was an oddly ginormous egg plus we were just really hungry.” Comforted Karrie. Sarah glared at them then started to probe the eggs. Eventually, they all got some water then moved to a new cave by the shore. They made a door and made a crevice to hide if necessary. They gathered water and put it in a hole in the floor of the cave. They each took shifts at night and rarely had a run up with a dinosaur. They gathered fish and May ate berries a lot. They made walls to separate the cave into sleeping quarters and a kitchen with a fire set up in the corner.
Suddenly… there was a screeching roar. They ran into the cave, they knew what was coming. They took all their spare rocks and wood and barricaded the door. “Maybe we should hide.” Said May. “It will be safer than staring through the cracks in the door at least!” but the others just motioned to be quiet. She snuck over to the wall and scrunched down into a crevice and held her immense anger due to her sister’s ignorance and rudely motioning her away.
Three raptors suddenly attacked the door and ruptured a crevice in it. Then, the sisters ran to May and ducked down into the crevice. Luckily the Raptors didn’t notice. After a couple of seconds, they broke through the door. They held their breath and watched silently, frozen with fear. They searched the cave but only found their fish. The girls stayed in the crevice for a couple of hours to make sure there were no more raptors coming.
Ultimately they finally got out unscathed. “We've got to get out of here!” cried Amy, “I know! I’ve been saying that for a couple of weeks now!” replied May. “We've only been here 12 days and 13 nights including a bit of today!” said Sarah in a haughty way. “I hate it here! There’s dinosaurs trying to eat us, I had to eat a T-Rex egg, and there’s no way off this stupid island! I want to go home!” cried May. Sarah rolled her eyes as Amy comforted her. “It’ll be ok!” chered karrie. All the other sisters glared at her. “It was your fault!” screamed Sarah. “Calm Down! We understand how you feel but you need to calm down. We need to work together to survive” coaxed Amy and May together, “whatever” retorted Sarah as she turned around and walked into the cave.
“Finally! It's here!” said Karrie, “What are you-” then they saw it, a boat! They looked around to make sure there were no dinosaurs then started to wave and throw stuff and make a fire trying to draw attention. “Hey Hey!” yelled karrie. “Shhhh don't be so loud! Did you forget the dinosaurs?” hushed May.
The boat came into good view and they started to dance and rejoice. Then, they heard it. Screams, ear piercing screams. Men ran around the deck running from a formidable creature. A Megalodon! They ran crazy, as they screamed and yelled then the boat drifted off into the sea. They crawled into the cave and mourned the freedom from this island that was so close to their grasps.
The next morning, they crawled out of their caves to gather their fish like normal since they came upon the island. They saw Amy by the sea then saw what she was doing. She built a raft! With Megalodon skin underneath it! They helped her prepare for it and went off to sea. They even rescued a sailor on the way! They made it home and all was well. They even got a bunch of money for the Megalodon skin and a Compsognathus (a tiny dino) happened to find its way onto the boat! They were all home and well!
The End
“Shhh it’s ok little raptor. I’m going to take care of you now. You just gotta be quite so my parents don’t find out ok? I’ll take good care of you and your siblings” grinned Thorn as she hid her young but dangerous new pets.
