One fine evening I went to bed early. I was tired and wanted to take some rest. As I dozed off to a sound sleep, I started to drifting into the world of dreams.
I dreamt I was jogging on a warm morning. As I was jogging, a huge mist surrounded me. I was scared for a while. Suddenly the earth cracked open dragging me inside and down .... and down ... I fell into a fathomless hole. After thinking of eternity, I arrived at a strange and mysterious place. After walking for a while, I saw a little light that seemed to call me from far away. As I got closer, I knew it was another entrance. There was a long carpeted staircase at the entrance. I started going down and was amazed to see a place of breathtaking beauty with beautiful flowers and trees, and the fluttering of giant colorful butterflies and birds. It was as if I was in a wonderland.
I saw a little girl coming. She was singing in a very sweet and soothing voice which seemed to cast a spell over me. I stopped and asked her the name of the place? She answered that I was in the land of fairy tales. I asked her name and she told me her name as Heidi. Oh I thought that the one who was in the story book. "Are you new here?" She asked. "Yes", I said.
Very gently, she took my hands into hers and said "so let me how you around!" We went into the woods. When we reached an open field with a breathtaking scenery, we saw a girl in a red dress, gathering flowers in a decorated basket. Heidi went near the girl and introduced me as her new friend, "The little Red Riding Hood". Then the three of us walked, ran and skipped along in a gay abandon. On the way we met snow white, Alice, Goldilocks, Cinderella and Dorothy from the wizard of Oz and etc.. In the evening we all gathered for a ball party. In the party there were others like little mermaid, Jasmine, Casper....... The party was in my honour. As they danced to enchanting music, I sat on the beautiful throne and watched....but it was not before long when the three little pigs came and took me to the ball. I danced with almost everyone. After sometime, Heidi came to me and offered me a ride on the back of a flying unicorn.
First, we went through the woods and then we climbed a cliff. When we reached the top, the unicorn with me still on his back jumped and flew into the air. As we were flying in the air, we touched clouds and rainbows.... Oh, I was blissfully happy and contented ...and just then a shooting star was coming towards me. As I reached out to catch it, I lost my balance and I fell....down..and down and down and down I went till I landed with a loud thud on the ground.
Suddenly, I snapped back into the real world with a bump on my head. I had fallen down from my bed on the hard floor. A familiar voice was repeatedly calling out my name......and it became louder and louder till it reached a feverish pitch. Of course, you have guessed it correctly?? It was my mom telling me that it was still too early to sleep and that I should be doing my homework. "Oh I thought, why is this world so unfair to me!!!"😂😂
