I call to no one... no matter how loud I shout, I can’t be heard. That’s fine, I’ve accepted myself as who I am; the loneliest whale in the world.
But no matter how much my voice can’t reach, I’ll keep shouting, hoping that loneliness won’t be the only one staying by my side.
Though the world will never know how sad I felt, I feel, I’ll keep shouting hoping that even the blind whales will see.
My pain is like water and oil, it cannot be mixed. My world became a cold abyss, empty and lifeless.
Someone ones told me “let your voice out, let it reach as far as it can”... but what can I do? I’m different from the rest, while every other whale speaks a different language, I speak my own, the language, only I, can understand.
Even if I’m the loneliest, I’ll always have loneliness to accompany me, I’m still lucky. I dream of a day where I can shine brightly like a remote island. I’ll continue shouting, until someone yells back... that’s when I know that I’m not really alone, that I am not the loneliest whale.
