The thing that always pondered me, we were in the same class for three years but even once, I never saw anyone talk to Elaine. Except for the few teachers, no one ever attempted to talk to her.
Elaine and I were classmates for three years, she always sat at the back of the class— next to the window, never looked at anyone, or even talk to anyone in the class.
I didn't know why cause in my eyes, there's no problem with Elaine. She's always the first one to attend our class, she even has good grades in all subjects, and she was a pretty girl that once you looked at her you can never take your eyes off her. And yet, neither boy nor girls approached her.
I asked my friend why he didn't talk to Elaine.
“Her family is still bound by their traditions, It is better not to stick your nose on her. Don't talk to her and don't approach her" he warned me. Still, I didn't get the answer to all my questions.
One day I saw her talking to a cat on the school ground, she must be eating by herself. I accidentally heard what she said.
“I just want to be a normal girl"
I was about to approach her but then my friend grasped my shoulder stopping me to walk towards her.
‘There is something wrong in here'
