When I was really young, my uncle used to live with us. Uncle Faruk and I were really close, I go to his place every night to chit chat.
He always tells me about a man he sees in the parlor. The man wears a white kaftaan, very neatly ironed and a brown cap. I was so curious to find out who it was but I never got the chance to see him. So I started looking for the man's trouble thinking he'll get tired of me and show up. I sit exactly where uncle Faruk tells me that he sits, and recite Suratul Mulk after Maghreb prayer, every day.
Still, nothing happened. I kept on doing for about a month. Then after uncle Faruk left, I stopped.
I thought I was wasting my time.
Some time, I went out then came into the parlor and saw a man sitting exactly where Uncle Faruk told me the man sits. He was also wearing a white Kaftaan and a brown cap. I was so happy I finally saw him so I called uncle Faruk to describe the man to me again. He did and turns out it was the man I saw.
I finally got my satisfaction.
Then I started seeing the man every other day in the parlor to the point that I got used to seeing him. But I was finding the man boring because he just Sits and does nothing so I stopped keeping tabs on him. Days flew by and I stopped seeing him entirely. Not in the parlor, not anywhere. I went about with my life, almost forgetting about his existence.
Then one night, I saw him in our room standing close to the window, looking directly at me and smiling. I didn't smile back, just acted like he wasn't there. I started seeing him everyday.
Still, I acted as though I couldn't see him. Then I started seeing him on my bed, sitting and smiling. I kept wondering why he was always smiling.
I never spoke to anyone about him though. But I always say 'bismillah' while brushing my bed before sitting or lying on the bed. I always recite suratul Mulk before going to bed so whenever I was reciting the surah, I see him standing above me. And funny enough, I don't recite it in a loud voice.
Still, I acted as if he wasn't there. I was secretly terrified but I acted as if I wasn't because I didn't want him to know that he scares me since it's not like he was doing anything to me.
I recite my suratul Mulk with him hovering every day so I got tired and told my mum about him. She talked to her Mallam in islamiyyya
and he told me to recite ayatul kursiy 3x
whenever I saw him.
I started doing it and the guy disappeared completely.
Fast forward about a year or 2 later, I started seeing your guy by the door of our room.
And the guy wasn't smiling anymore. So I stopped sleeping in our room. I moved my stuff back to my mum's room and started sleeping there alone.
Then one night, there was no light so I decided to sleep in our room with my sister. Then I saw your guy standing my bed, I recited ayatul kursiy And lay down but the guy refused to go. I recited it almost a hundred times but he refused to go so I forced myself to sleep. I had a dream that he woke me up and was asking me why I told my mum about him. I told him that I did that because I tell her everything.
Then he told me that she's not taking it lightly with him, there's a duaa she does which burns him a lot. I apologized then he started scolding me telling me that he stays in our house because he likes it there. He doesn't even have the intention of doing anything bad to us, rather he wanted to protect from anything that had the intention of harming us. I scoffed and told him He telling me he has no intention of harming us is like a thief telling us he's not going to steal anything from us.
He got really furious and started shouting at me. I got really scared and started saying all the duaas I knew but the man refused to go.
Then I started reciting a duaa which my mum told me to do whenever I see him because it burns them.
But I refused to do it since when she told me because I didn't want to burn him Immediately I started, he let out a loud scream and strangled me.
I could barely breath but still I kept on reciting the duaa.
My body was shaking and tears were coming out of my eyes but I refused to stop.
His body started become limp and he disappeared. Then I woke up from sleep crying, and
feeling very light headed. There was a duaa which a Mallam gave me in a zamzam water.
I drank it and rubbed it all over my body. And from that day, I never saw him again.
