The day she was born was happiest day of my life.
She was my sunshine she was the only thing that my wife left behind. I loved her to core from her childhood I played the roles of both father and mother. I watched her growing up.
I remember every moment I spend with her. The first day she smiled at me. The day she held my hand. The first day she started to crawl out of her bed. the first day she called me papa.. The first day she went to school. I remember every single thing. The day she turned 18 she came to me asking for my permission to study abroad. I was very happy that my daughter has such big dreams of studying abroad but I was also sad sending my princess far away from me. But eventually I agreed thinking about her great future. After coming from abroad she became very busy with her work. And we had very little time to spend with each other. Every night I would wait for her to come back from work and every night she would scold for waiting for her so late.
Everything was going perfectly but one day she came home crying I was so worried. I tried console her and ask her what happened to her. But then she suddenly hugged me and said "He cheated on her. " At first I was confused but after some time I understood the situation I tried to console her. For some days she very gloomy and was down. Everyday I tried my best to make her happy and make her forget about her ex and was successful in doing it. Time passed by and she forgot about everything she was then very happy.
One day she called me and asked me "dad, how about we dine out today? " At first I was surprised as it was all of a sudden but at last I agreed. When I went to the restaurant I saw her coming hand in hand with a man. i was confused by this so I started at the man who held my daughter's hand. After sometime they came near me and my daughter said "Ahem... dad can you stop staring you are being rude. " I snapped out of it and and my daughter said "dad let's go inside. " I nodded and went in she followed me with that man she held hand with. We went in and after some time she talked she said "dad I want to talk to you. " I said " sure honey " Then she said pointing at the man beside her "dad.... he is my Boyfriend Ryan and we have been dating for 3 years dad.... I... we.... wanted to get married. " i was shocked as hell the spoon in my hand fell down and a tear escaped me eyes.
I was both happy and sad. I was happy that my daughter found the love of her life and I was sad that the daughter I loved and protected for so many years is now stolen by some other guy. She became worried and said "Dad plz don't cry... I can't see you crying plz don't cry!! " Then I hugged her. That was the most silent day of my life. After some days she visited her boyfriend parents they agreed to their relationship and started their wedding planning they finished their engagement and the day before their wedding at night my daughter came to my room and suddenly hugged me I hugged her back and then she started crying I consoled her.
After sometimes she said "dad...... I know that you'll be sad and alone when I'll be not there so I talked with Ryan and we decided that we'll live with you. " I was about say something but she suddenly said "plz don't refuse dad you are not a burden to us. " I was shocked how she knew what I was going say and thought that what people say are true daughters are angels of there father. I hugged her tightly and cried a bit. Today is the day I am now walking my daughter to the groom I'm having many thoughts like my MY ONLY LIGHT OF MY LIFE IS NOW GOING OUT OF MY EBRACE AND IS GOING TO EMBRACE SOME OTHER MAN. The last thing I want to say to my light of my life before she becomes light of another man's light is that "BE HAPPY MY DAUGHTER "
