Once upon a time there were two friends. Jade and Jake - They were called. Both were nine years old. From the moment they met each other they were always together. They could not spend a moment apart from each other.
Abandoned by their parents and no one to take care of them they both ended up in the orphanage.Jade was four when she came to sweet home* and Jake was five when he came there.

It was love at first sight. When jake came to sweet home for the first time old sister was carrying him in his arms. He was malnourished and weak at that time. His face was pale and he was too thin.
Jade was sitting in the stairs that day. All the other children were playing nearby but not jade. She was all alone. She had a rose petal in one of her hand and a toffee in the other one.
Jade saw jake and she was mesmerized. In her eyes he looked like the most handsome man on earth. She loved how pretty and long Jake's hair were. She just kept looking at him.
The moment jake saw jade he immediately gestured old sister to put him down. She stood there for a moment and then moved towards jade. He stood in front of her and looked at her carefully.
'The rose petal smells sweet'- said jake. Jade smiles and hands over the toffee in her other hand to jake. Jake takes the toffee, breaks it into two parts and gives one part to jade and keeps the other one.
Both eat their part and smile at each other. That was the beginning of their life together. Whatever they had to do they would always be together.
Every time one of them had a chance to be adopted they gave it up because they do not wanted to apart from each other. Their one and only condition was to he adopted together.
Everyone in the orphanage was envious of their bond. Many times other children would try to get in between their friendship and create problems but they never allowed such things to break them apart.
Sweet home was built in the heart of the city. It was built in the middle of city but the property was so big that they had to walk for at least twenty minutes from their hostels to reach the bustling market.
Jade and jake had a secret hideout in the orphanage. Jade's room was on third floor and Jake's was the second. They would sneak out of their room every time, walk through the corridor, enter the sports room on first floor and move the table beside the wall.
Behind the table was a huge hole in the wall. Due to the table it would always go unnoticed and was the wall was never repaired. Only jade knew about it at first and then she told jake about it.
Once they sneak out of the wall they would go to the park that was in the vicinity of sweet home. In the park there were several mazes and special spots to sil at talk comfortably.
Whenever jade and Jake sneak out of their room they would always walk to the park together and then in front of the entrance they would take different paths to the center of the maze.
In ten minutes they would reach the center of the maze. There they would sit for hours and hours to talk. It was their everyday routine. Not a single person in sweet home ever stopped them. Everybody absolutely loved both of them.
Whenever somebody would visit sweet home they would always say that jade and jake were made for each other. She were absolute sweethearts.
Everything seemed to be good. Everyone was happy. But one day suddenly everything changed. Their life was never the same.
It was the day of 10th annual anniversary of sweet home. Everybody was busy in the preparations of the special program for celebrations. Jade and Jake had a special dance performance too.
They had practiced for a whole week everyday to prepare for the event. They were very excited for the performance. It was almost evening. The performances began. Jade and jake had the 10th performance.
Jade was very nervous. So to calm down jade, jake asked her to go with him to the center of maze and practice there for one last time. They both headed towards the park.
In the entrance of the maze they took different paths as usual. Jake reached the center of the maze in ten minutes but jade never came. Jake continued waiting for her but it was all in vain.
Half an hour passed and jade was nowhere to see. Jake became worried. He hurried towards the hostel and ran towards jade's room. He barged open the door and looked for jade but she was not there.
He shouted--" Jade. jade. Where are you?"
" Jade It's not time for a joke."
"Jade come out"
He ran towards the auditorium now where the program was happening. He ran backstage towards girls changing room.
He knowed at the door and shouted.
"Jade are you there "
"come on I am worried."
"Jade answer me"
But there was no reply. Where was jade? It was the first time in all these years that this one of thing happened. Jake became more and more anxious.
It was almost their turn for performance. The nineth performance ended and the hosts were calling out jade's and Jake's name. But he was there all alone. Jade was nowhere to be seen.
Jake walked towards the stage all alone. He was standing in middle of the stage completely clueless. Suddenly he heard someone walking towards the stage. He looked towards the door. It was jade.
Where was she? Jake was relieved but he was so angry. He could not ask her anything at that moment. He just hold his anger in. He wanted to wait for the performance to end and then question jade.
They performed beautifully. Both of them bowed to the audience and walked towards the door.
