A sweet childhood love story.
Emma was a high schooler. Shy and innocent. One day she went to her aunt's house to attend a wedding. Next to her aunt's house lived a boy named Aiden. He was also a high schooler who was timid and sweet. He was friends with Emma's cousin Loren. A few days ago Aiden had his first breakup because of which he felt down. At that time Loren had mentioned Emma. She encouraged Aiden to meet Emma during the wedding and talk with her. Loren's boyfriend, Steve also supported Aiden to talk with Emma as he was also familiar with her. They said that they would bring Emma to the rooftop during the wedding so that Aiden could talk to her.
Aiden had never seen Emma but from what he heard from Loren and Steve, he had imagined her. He even drew a picture of Emma as imagined. He thought about Emma day and night, imagining how he would talk to her and how she would react. He practiced his lines for hours and left out everything else.
Eventually the day of the wedding arrived and Aiden could feel his heart jumping out of his body while standing in the rooftop. Time passed. One minute turned into one hour and one hour into two. But Loren and Steve never showed up with Emma. Aiden was heartbroken at the fact that his bestfriends had decieved him. He went back to the main venue of the wedding with a fallen face. Suddenly Steve showed up from behind of Aiden and pointed his finger towards a girl and told to him, that girl was Emma. Aiden stood there frozen in his spot and could not take off his eyes from her. She was wearing a simple dress and she looked average but in Aiden's eyes she appeared the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. He was looking at her spellbound and it seemed as if a cupid had shot its arrow straight into his heart. While he was standing memorised, Loren and Steve whispered from back that they had talked to Emma and she had agreed to talk with him. They told Aiden to follow Emma everywhere and she that she would talk to him when she would get a chance. Aiden believed them blindly and started to follow Emma everywhere she went. Aiden was from a well-to-do family and that's why people started gossiping about him. But he was on cloud nine thinking about the thought of Emma talking to him. On the other hand, Emma was feeling weird because an unknown guy was following her everywhere. As time passed, Aiden realized that he had been decieved by Loren and Steve because Emma didn't show any interest in him at all. He was shattered from inside and his face grew dull and lifeless. Suddenly someone called his name and he looked up to see it was Steve. He was calling Aiden for a group photo with the bride, groom and others. Among them Emma was also standing. Aiden refused but Steve dragged him and made him stood beside Emma. Aiden peeked at Emma secretly but saw her looking at him with worry in her eyes. His face flushed. After the picture taking sessions, Aiden went to a quite corner of the venue and sat in a chair with his head bent down in frustration. After a while he lifted his head up as he felt someone's presence behind him. Looking back he was stunned to see it was Emma. There was an unknown emotion in her eyes. At that moment a gush of emotions rushed through Aiden's head. He got up from the chair and rushed out of the wedding with a feeling of heaviness in his heart. Few days passed after the incident. Neither Emma nor Aiden saw each other after that. But Aiden still loved Emma with all his heart. So he wrote a poem regarding her and sent it to her through Loren. After that day, Aiden never saw Emma. Loren often told him about Emma but Aiden never reacted much because somewhere he knew that Emma had gone very far away from him. But deep down he still loved Emma and he would never be able to give that place in his heart to anyone else.
TWENTY FIVE YEARS PASSED.
Everything changed in these years. One day Emma again visited her aunt's house for the funeral of her uncle. But this time she came along with a fourteen year old girl. Yes, that girl was Emma's daughter. She had a family of her own now. Aiden was also invited in the ceremony. He was a successful businessman now and had a wife and a son who a year younger than Emma's daughter. When he arrived, he was completely shocked to see Emma after so many years. Loren told him to talk to Emma. At first he hesitated but later he went and talked to her. He confessed about the feelings he once had for her and that he had sent her a letter. Emma replied that she recieved the letter but had to throw it away at the fear of being caught. After that she forgot about the incident completely until today but she always remembered Aiden's name. After that they slowly started to get to know each other and met each others families. Aiden started to see Elllerie as his own daughter as he somewhere found the young Emma in her.
The love Aiden had for Emma was pure. He considered Emma as a goddess and worshipped her in his heart. There was only respect and dedication in his love. In one word it was "PURE LOVE".
