The curse took away his relationships. All of them. His enemies, his friends, his family. None of them were left. He was always tortured by his emotions. They enabled him to feel, to love, to wish, to hope for, but he never got any reply. Even without someone to love him back, he didn’t even have anyone to hate him. The pain of not getting what he wanted, who he wanted, it hurt him. It burned his heart so much it turned into ashes. But just like the phoenix he was, it always rose up from the ashes, as young and hopeful as a newborn would be. And without fail it would once again plunge deeper into hell, breaking into thousands of pieces.
Fate played with him again. It brought to him a light, shining so brightly amidst the darkness around him. The light took notice of him. It had looked at him, interacted with him. But most importantly, it brought to him the warmth of accompaniment. With its light, it removed the darkness. Little by little, his world grew brighter. Just as he was about to bid goodbye to the last wisp of darkness, fate didn’t disappoint. With it’s invisible hands, it had cut the feeble bond they shared, thrusting him straight to the bottom of the well of darkness. He could do nothing, but watch, as the light slipped right through his fingers. He had struggled, but to no use, as he witnessed the light darken to an unsightly red, all the brightness gone from it. He shouted to the heavens and screamed his wrath at them, but as always, they stared at him with a cold glance, as if to say, you deserved it.
That was the last straw. He no longer cared about anything else. With a yell of agony and grief he took his life. Even then, he did not move his love filled and grief stricken eyes from the light, as it slowly dissipated into tiny white orbs that flew to surround him. It was getting colder, as both their sad and apologetic gazes stared at each other, full of things they had yet to share. They closed their eyes to the world together, silently promising to stay together even in the next life. But of course, how would fate allow him to escape pain?
