At the times of World War between British amd Germans
There was a person named Jim Machpherson
He was Captain in British Army...
"The Best Christmas Present in the world", is what is the journey
When the world was in war
The tragic situation, which no one would ever wanted to see
On the day of Christmas, both armies were making peace
It seems imaginary but it's not
These are the feelings that Jim wrote
He says "My Dearest wife, I can't tell you how happy I am"
"Yesterday I celebrated the Best Christmas of my life.."
"Yesterday Germans called us out by waving white flag"
"Happy Christmas, Come out lads"
"We stopped thinking it was a trick"
"But It wasn't, they just wanted peace"
"We dropped our guns"
"They came to us to have fun"
"Happy Christmas, we wished each other"
"Oh I am from here! I am from there!"
"Getting to know one another"
"The experience was really heavenly"
"At the times of war, we both armies were making peace, forgetting we were enemies"
"We ate, drank and played together"
"The cake that you made was the best as ever"
"We wished to be like this forever"
"It would have been good, if the war never happened"
"We thought only if we can solve a war by football match"
"No children were were orphaned, no wives would have become widow"
"Oh! That was a great catch"
"I said i will prefer Cricket, so we can win"
"But inside we all knew we can only just think"
"A war can never be solved by match"
"We enjoyed the Christmas together"
"I can never forget this memory"
"The day ended, night came"
"We hope for all the best"
"The match we played, no one was hurt"
"My Dear Wife, it was the Best Christmas Present In The World"
"And it's 26 today and war has started to give pain"
"That's it for now"
"Till the next Christmas, we'll surely meet again"
"Take care"
But the reality is bitter
