There are two Types of Spirits
Evil Spirits
&
Normal Spirits
They say that if some of our wishes don't fulfill which we wanted so bad or we make some promises or we had a really bad ending of our live or if we will not get a funeral when we will die, Then Basically Our spirit will leave Our Body but it won't take shelter in another Body.

EVIL SPIRITS : Basically Wants destruction, Revenge, And Justice by killing people ( even if they are not involved) And sometimes they just kill those who were involved in their Death And in that case they don't want to kill inoccent ones but if you will get in their way of Revenge you will Regret your Decision. Sometimes, you find yourself dreaming about them too, It's because your Mind Accepts it's existence and then you get dreams of it. If this will continue then you will get some kind of Mental sickness then please BEWARE.

NORMAL SPIRITS : They are the spirits of Normal people, who just wants justice and mean no harm. However, they have some negative waves going around them so, you have experienced it some times that, if someone tries to go to the places people call haunted They get really Sick for days. And sometimes they face Death too.
You just have to dig out the past of the spirit who was there, You have to understand there emotions.
