Dear readers,
Thanks for the likes and comments on my first poem "I miss you". You all have motivated me to write more. This is my second poem. Do read my first poem once to relate better with this one...
"I want to be like you" my little brother says,
He does not know what sacrifies on table lays.
"I want to be like you" my mother says,
She does not know how not to cry for days.
How to tuck your feelings inside your heart,
How much it hurts to keep yourself from falling apart...
"If you are here I am able to leave freely"
she says smiling brightly,
For she doesn't know how I am feeling inside,
Trying to keep my heart from bleeding outside.
I smile and say "Don't worry about anything,
I will take care of my sibling."
She cries once more before leaving us,
I stand near her, seeing her breathless.
How does it feels seeing your loved ones crying?
I am sitting on sofa near her bed, where my brother is lying,
I stroke his head and see his tears,
I hug him tightly ignoring my fears.
"I am there for you" I wishper softly.
"I want to be like you" he said quietly.
