A few days ago my father decided to make a little calendar for my 6-year-old sister. He circled all the main events like birthdays and holidays. He gave it to my little sister as a surprise and she really seemed to like it. She started looking throughout the pages of the calendar, reading and making comments about how she liked it. Father seemed very proud of himself for making such a calendar. Then out of nowhere my sister asked why the 5th of October wasn't circled. My father asked her why it should be circled. She said that the 5th of October was the birthday of her stuffed animal. My father, who is too proud to admit a mistake, made up a lie and said that he wanted to throw a surprise birthday party for her stuffed animal, and in order for it to be a surprise he didn't write it down. That answer seemed to make sense for my sister, so she turned back to the calendar and got back to looking at its pages. Then my sister asked why the 16th of March wasn't circled. My father asked her why the 16th should be circled. My sister is a very calm voice said,-" That's that day you die. You'll get into a car crash." Then she turned back to the calendar, took a black pen, and circled the 16th leaving my father in shock. That calendar is now hanging next to the door, it's all pretty and pink except for the 16th of March. While I'm writing this, it is the 15th, so tomorrow we'll see if what my little sister said is true...
