When I was little we used to go to the public pool. One day I met a little boy named Tom. He would be there every day. We would play around until my mom would call me to go back home. I really liked playing with Tom. Then Summer ended and I had to go to school. I forgot about Tom. A few days ago we had a swimming contest. Before the contest started were once again explained the safety rules. We all got really bored, so one participant raised his hand and asked why we needed to hear all this when we weren't little children and we already knew the rules. The adult telling us the rules explained that 15 years ago a little boy drowned in the pool. From that day the rules had to be explained. I've been to the pool lots of Times and I have never heard this story, so when I returned home I googled the incident to try to find out more about it. I found an old news article saying that 15 years ago a 5-year-old boy started drowning in the pool. For some reason, the lifeguard on duty didn't notice and the boy drowned. At the end of the article, there was a picture of the boy. I realized that I knew this boy, it was Tom, I was sure of it. But it didn't make sense, because I'm 14 right now, but the incident happened 15 years ago. I thought that maybe I was wrong, so I asked my mom about the boy I was playing with, surely it wasn't Tom. My mom said,- " Oh, you mean Tom, yeah you always played with him in the pool. He was your imaginary friend"...
