One night Eliza stayed a little late at school.
Since it was dark, she couldn’t walk to the long route anymore. So in order to get home fast, she has to go to the old rusty wide bridge instead.
The bridge was rumored to be the bridge of death. Wondered why?
A lot of the people committed suicide in that old rusty wide bridge. Accidents happen a lot in that too.
Those who walk in that old rusty wide bridge at night had gone crazy.
But it’s just a rumor, right?
Eliza laughs at those supernatural rumors. She never believes in those things, because that’s how her grandma used to scare her when she comes home late.
As Eliza started to walk through the wide old rusty bridge.
She saw a short haired girl in a stained white dress.
She stopped her tracks.
The little girl seems to be lost. Looking left and right debating where to go.
“Dear, are you lost?” Eliza called out to the little girl.
She goes near her and touched her shoulders.
“Are you lost?” She asked again.
”No.” The little girl replied.
“My dad left me. He told me he’ll come back.” She said and starts to cry.
“And now I’m scared to walk alone.” Another sob came out of her mouth.
“Don’t worry I’ll take you home. Just show me the way.” Eliza said and used her right hand to hold the little girl’s left hand.
“What’s your name?” Eliza asked the little girl.
“Ella Randell.” She replied.
The little girl points across the bridge.
“Help me cross the bridge, dad told me I should never go alone crossing this bridge.” She said.
“You’re lucky that you found me too. You’re about to walk alone in this bridge.” She added.
“So you’re father believe in that rumor too, huh?”
“Yes.” Ella nodded and whispered “ That’s why my father’s ......” Eliza couldn’t quite hear what she said in the end.
“Your father’s wha-“ She got interrupted.
“Seems like we have crossed the bridge.” The little girl smiled.
“Now I can go alone now and won’t have to worry about your safety.” The little girl jumped with glee and ran away from her.
“Hey, wait!” Eliza ran after her, but stops as the Ella disappeared from her view.
“What safety are you talking abou-“
She sighed.
Suddenly her flashlight turned off.
“Shoot! It’s lowbat” She murmured to herself.
She tries to find her phone in her bag, but accidentally she dropped her chapstick in her bag and it rolled to the bridge. She turned the flashlight on her phone.
She steps on the bridge and out of nowhere....
The little girl appeared.
“You’re still here?” Ella asked.
Eliza picks up the chapsticks and the girl was next to her.
“Where were you?” Eliza asked her.
“I visited my father.” Ella replied and pointed at the cross planted on the ground.
“Your father? Where’s your father, I can’t see him?” Eliza asked confused.
Ella grabbed her wrist gently and points at the grave. She pointed her phone flashlight at the grave and there she read the name.
“Wait, your father’s dea-“ The girl next to her was gone and what was now next to her was a grave.
She shines the flashlight on the grave and there read her name.
