Four people were currently inside the room located at the biggest residence of the village. The two middle age man, each seated across the table from the other, were chatting amiably.
One of them was a white-robed man who was tall and lanky, the other was a sturdy-looking man clad in an armour. They look like the polar opposite of each other but they seem to be in very friendly terms. They have been together through thick and thin, have weathered the roughest storm and were able to survive the darkest of times by joining hands. They have both pioneered and paved the way for what was now called "the most peaceful time in this ten thousand years of great struggle".
"Mr. Sheng, i've heard WanLi has been rapidly improving his cultivation? Ai, as expected of your son, not only is he a powerful cultivator but also a passionate scholar. An amazing young boy"
Mr. Sheng laugh, " not at all Chief Chuan, WanLi still has a lot to learn about this world. On the other hand, can't your daughter, little YingYue, cast high level spells already. at a tender age of six, she has achieved so much. She could be called a top genius of her generation."
The two middle age man kept throwing complements and praises in their conversation. It was sometimes subtle but often times, it was so overbearing that the two young children had to lower their heads and look at their feet as if it were the greatest treasure this world has ever seen.
Chief Chuan gave a wide smile "Your boy, WanLi, is a perfect pair to my daughter. Plus, he is only two years older than her. There is no better husband candidate than him." He patted YingYue on the head and suddenly she looked up.
YingYue and WanLi stared wide-eyed at each other throughout the conversation. They have been raised together since childhood, and are best of best friends. You could not find a pair whose relationship is better than them. They know each other like the back of their hands but talking about marriage is a different kind of situation. It gives rise to feelings that are complicated in nature. Thus, they felt very awkward and did not even utter a single word.
川 映月 Chuan ying yue -"river" "reflection of the moon"
胜 万力 Sheng wan li -"Success" "ten thousand strength"
I like giving Chinese names to my characters because: 1) each name really has a meaning to it
2) well, we must admit, we dont know many chinese so we cant associate each name with a certain real person. so you can get the feeling of uniqueness in its name. and you could pinpoint right away the character and its name.
we know a lot of people with english name, you'll hate my character if it is the same name as your hated real person, and i dont want that to happen.
i think i didnt explain the particulars about the extent of their powers very much and that is why there are some aspects which may contradict each other. let me try to fix it in the next few chapters if i can.
