“I wish I could turn back time” sky cried while laying on the chest of their best friend, the person they love the most in the world, june. The white hospital room filled with their sobs.
“Please don't cry” june said while wiping the tears off the other.
“Why did you never told me about your health condition?”
“I'm sorry i never wanted to make you worry”
“Did i ever meant anything to you?”
“You meant the world to me” june said in a low voice.
unable to catch what the other said sky asked “what did you say?”
“i just never wanted to make you worry I'm sorry”
“You could have told me i might had prepared for this day.. you know how many things there are that i wanted to experience with you?”
“I'm sorry please forgive me”
“don't apologize.. please”
“I know i was wrong for this.. there are so many people better than me in this world you for sure find someone you could experience those with..” june said trying to put on a smile.
“you are so stupid i hate you”
“If there would be another life i wish to be with you” june bite their lips nervously and silently whispered to themselves , “I wish we would be more than friends there”
The other one was unable to hear it but before they could ask anything June's suddenly started breathing heavily which made sky worry.
“I'll call the doctor” sky got up from June's chest. Hands shaking their breath stuck in their throat they could swear they never felt this scared in their whole life ever. They started moving away from them but before they could go any further away from them the other grabbed their hand as tightly as they could.
“please don't go.. please don't leave me” sky noticed June's shiny eyes, there was going a battle in their eyes, between june and their tears. June was trying to hold them back while they kept threatening to fall. Sky could not say anything they could not even think properly what to do.
The other tried pulling them towards themselves with all the energy that was left with them.
Sky sat near them and held their hands tightly in theirs.
“I'll never leave you” they kissed their hands gently making the other smile.
“Goodbye, my sweet love” with those words they started closing their eyes slowly.
“no no no no” the other could not control themself anymore and started sobbing loudly. The fear struck them, the fear of losing the person you love the most, the person you wanted to spend your whole life with, the person you wanted to have family with. The hands slowly turning cold while the other tried to keep them warm by rubbing them.
The room was now cold, the machine that was beeping continuously minutes ago stopped beeping, only the sound of sky's heavy sobs could be heard.
“i know im late but” sky cupped the cheeks of the other one and kissed their lips “I love you so much” their head hung low their heart filled with grief.
“Only if i had been brave enough, only if i had more time i might have given all the world's happiness to you”
they kissed them one last time and said,
“Goodbye for ever love. If there exist afterlife i just hope for you to live a happy life”
