This story is inspired from true events happened in ancient Chinese history. With Emperor Ai of Han and his male lover Dong Xian.
They had a tragic and sad ending, with Ai wanted Xian to be be buried next to him so they can have each other in afterlife too, but to humiliate Xian who commited suicide in 24 hours after Ai's death, Xian was reburied in a prison.
I'll give them the happy ending they deserves. I mean, a story will be no harm.
