In this world, every person is born with a birthmark called a Moon. The Moon represents a person's strength, status, and fate. The brighter and stronger the Moon, the more respected and powerful they become.
Those born without a Moon are called Moonless. They are looked down on by society and are often treated as if they have no worth.
There's one legend everyone knows:
When a person's Moon suddenly begins to glow upon meeting someone, it means they have found their fated soulmate—the one destiny has chosen for them. A glowing Moon cannot lie, and no one can change the fate it reveals.
