Chapter Five

VALERIA ANNASTA XIMENEZ POV

I found myself turning, only to bump into a large figure. An arm wrapped around me, pulling me closer. My eyes fluttered open as I remembered last night’s events. They replayed through my head.

Xavier was sound asleep, beside me. I looked up at his peaceful face.

Only to find myself flailing out of his arms to turn off my alarm clock. “Agh. Shit.” I moaned as I fell to the ground, my alarm clock in my hand.

Xavier sat up almost immediately, his hair was ruffled, but my oh my, look at that six pack. “You okay?” He asked as he looked down at my naked body in curiosity. A smile hinted at his lips.

I groaned, “Yeah.” I ran my fingers through my hair and put the alarm clock back on my night stand. I rubbed my eyes and looked at him, “Are you gonna leave?”

He gave me a once over look. He took his time to answer the question as he stared at my body like a hungry animal.

Did I care that I was naked in front of him? No, he saw all of me last night, there was really nothing to hide.

Was I now becoming slightly conscious now that he’s giving me that look? Unfortunately, yes.

“Uh yeah. I got school in half an hour.” He yawned as he stretched his arms.

“School?” I asked. “You’re a high school student?”

“No, first year in college.” He shook his head and paused when I gave him a disbelieving look, “Yes, I go to school señorita.”

Ugh, that word. Stop it.

It put me in a trance, but at one point I had to go back to reality. I threw his pants and underwear at him, “Look, I hope this is the last time we see each other, and if it isn’t, act like you don’t know me.”

He chuckled as he got up displaying all he had. And there was a lot. “Why’s that?” He put on his underwear.

I had no right to be judging the fact he was wearing day old undies. It was reasonable.

I massaged my temples and sighed, “I have a boyfriend. This whole thing was a mistake okay?”

I literally cheated on Ryan.

A pang of guilt didn’t hit me whatsoever though. I didn’t feel guilty at all. Rather, I felt a sense of responsibility as a girlfriend maybe?

Xavier slipped on his pants. I saw him shake his head as he gave me a look of disappointment. “Do you plan on getting married though?”

“What?”

“Are you planning to get married?” He repeated.

“No.”

“Then it’s fine.” He shrugged. “Think of it as this. There’s a difference between having a boyfriend and having a boyfriend.”

Now I was confused, “What are you talking about?”

“A boyfriend is just some random guy in your life you do intimate things with, a boyfriend is someone you date to marry. Someone you see a future with.” He wrapped his arm around my waist and he pulled me close.

I wasn’t stopping him at all.

“There’s a difference señorita.”
