Prologue

As rain drops were falling towards the ground, as I was doing my daily routine, ‘shooting arrows.’ It wasn’t just any normal arrow, some may call it ‘the love arrows’ some other call it ‘Cupid’s arrows’. How many years have passed? But more importantly, when did it all begun?

Doing the daily routine that I’ve been forced to for years. The ‘blessing’ job that the heavens given me. But, is this actually a blessing?

Most probably think that this is a blessing from the heavens, Gathering people together getting them to fall in love. Bringing joy to people just by shooting arrows. Well, actually this is the curse from the heavens that was forced on me. For all the ‘sins’ I have committed, I was sent to be punished in the planet earth, The land of Humans. “It may be easy doing the Cupid’s job... but it could be so lonely at the same time.”

Now, some might ask. What were the sins I’ve committed? what could’ve so bad that I was sent to earth as a cupid. And why a Cupid? Just like everyone elses story, it was a love story, about me and her. The heavens forbiddened us from being together. We were not meant to be. But we still took the big risk that was approaching us. What happened to her? Where was she now? All these questions that have been running through my head for the past thousands of years..

“no matter how far our love could have gone .. no matter how close we went.. it doesn’t always end as a ‘happy ending’ especially not for us. If I could go back in time I wish I was born as a ...”

These were the last words I’ve received from her. I could still remember her hands shaking hardly as she was passing me this note.

[ it has been quite a few months since I wrote. At first I totally gave up,

I had to potential at all.

But then the idea of this text popped inside my head.

An urge had me posting this on here. ]

(At the end of the day I’m still a beginner. I’m really grateful for this app where young people can share novels and inspire others.

I’ve wrote a novel on here before but somehow I dropped it and felt like it wasn’t my type of story as I felt a bit hesitate as I wrote it

I’m quite nervous about this one, but I truly admire the story.
