Arrange marriage

Veronica was waiting in a cafe for her future husband. Seriously that sounds crazy, although she was 24 years old and was happy with her life she never wanted to get married.

She never liked the idea of marriage and above all she never wanted an arranged marriage.

Yesterday she got the news about her arrange marriage.

Mom are you serious right now..... How many times have I told you that I don’t want to get married. I shouted at my mom, which I don’t do usually but this news was simply outrageous.

Mom told me to calm down first and listen to her so I did, she told me that it was for my own good and grandpa has arranged all of this.

He wanted my father to marry his friends daughter but it was not possible because my father loved my mother and he wanted to marry her.

So after that he lost contact with his friend but recently they met and after finding out that his friend has a grandson my grandpa wanted me to marry him.

My mom hugged me and told that it was not a bad idea to meet him. She told that grandpa loves me and would always think for the best for me, and I knew that she was right.

After hearing all this I reluctantly agreed to meet my so called future husband. Although I don’t like the idea of marriage I loved my grandpa the most I didn’t want to disappoint him so here I was waiting for some idiot who’s going to become my husband.

I was texting Shreya my best friend and telling her about the situation. Shreya has always been a great friend to me, she understands me better than I do myself.

I met her in college firstly I used to think that she didn’t like me and she used to think the same but when we talked to each other because of a friend we became friends instantly and we never knew how important we became in each other’s life. It’s funny how strangers become a part of your life suddenly.

I told her that coming here was a bad idea and I was not ready to meet him. I was so nervous and anxious at the same time. She told me to relax and just wait for him and talk to him so that we can solve the situation.

I don’t even know what am I going to say to him. Like hello......

we are going to get married but I don’t want to get married.

Like what should I do I was never good at expressing myself and today’s situation was not really what I wanted.

I was anxiously typing when I heard footsteps that were approaching me I looked up to see who it was and I was shocked to see him.

Never in my life I imagined to see him again.
