The Ruins

I see Conner next to me, sleeping peacefully, but there is one problem. Both of us are only in boxers. He's my best friend and I may have had a crush on him, but this is a bit much. "Good Morning Mathew," he said in a slightly tired voice. I just stared with tons of confusion. I couldn't remember anything past the shapeshifters. "What happened." I said. His only response was that he couldn't remember. Whew. At least I can be slightly sure my innocence is in tact. But my first kiss. "I think we need to slow it down. Why don't we head into town, get some caronley stew and head back to the guild. Then we could pick up a less dangerous quest." I waited a few moments for a response. After maybe 30 seconds, Conner responded. He said,"Ya, maybe you're right." So we packed up and headed back to town.

We get to town and head to the tavern. Both Conner and I were visibly confused. We didnt really speak for a bit. We couldn't find the words to really. I decided I would speak up, but Conner said something first. "I'm sorry." he said quite calmly for the situation. "I\-" "Don't respond". We didn't say anything for the rest of the time, though conner did stop a a story and bought a few song frogs on the way to the guild. When we arrived we saw that the jobs were taken. We left the guild and headed to Sinjou, a city close to the capital, and only a 38 minute ride. We rode on a carriage to get there.

Reaching there ment a lot more people. So the chances of the better bigginer level quests being gone is higher. We walked into the guild there and looked at a few quests. There was one about catching 15 crawling fish, one about slaying wickers\(They are something like a wolf\-bear hybrid\) and one about finding an old artifact in some abandoned ruins. We chose the ruins one because there was a bit less of a danger doing that.

We arrived in the ruins and crawled into a small crevice that led to the actual under ground ruins. There was very little space in the spot we stopped at so we had to find the next entrance. Finding the artifact wouldn't be easy due to the fact that guardians could still be active. We looked at the map we were given. It showed the layout of the ruins and the placement of the guardians. There was a spot that mentioned a guardian unrelated entity that might stop us but the map was a bit worn out. We tried to figure out where it might be until we saw it.
