Many sources even say that Werewolves were actually created to be fierce soldiers and bring them victory but ended up in a failure, due to some reasons, and so all of them were killed.

Selene and her brother, Helios, the god of the sun, were responsible for controlling the movements of the sun and moon across the sky. The Moon Goddess is believed to be the creator of the werewolves and they worship her as a god. Therefore, the moon goddess was never 'Luna' the fiction world has caused this misconception. Honestly even I didn't know, before going through many searches on google.

The Ancient Greeks associated wolves with the sun god Apollo. That's a bit confusing, isn't it? Understand the difference between wolves and werewolves.

Lupa is the immortal Roman wolf goddess who trains Roman demigods in the ways of Rome. She trains the demigods at the Wolf House, then sends them to Camp Jupiter where they can join the Twelfth Legion Fulminata.

Wolf symbolism and meaning include loyalty, family and friendship, teamwork, protection, wildness, freedom, instincts, playfulness, and other noble traits. Historically, wolves lived throughout the world, so they are subjects in the mythology and folklore of many cultures.

Pterolycus (Pterolykus/ Winged Wolf/ Wolf Dragon) is illustrated as a wolf with wings. “The Winged Wolf is a creature with origins in German, Russian and Hungarian folklore. It is not known for a fact when they came to exist

Wolves are monogamous, often mating for life. In the pack, only the alpha pair has sexual rights during the breeding season. Females are normally sexually mature at 2-years of age. Whether the wolf's idea of love is the same as a human's is still hotly debated among scientists, but this research is based on years of observing two packs of nine wolves. Wolves do not howl at the moon! They howl to communicate with each other. ... They howl day or night—not just when there is a full moon. They even have daily howling choruses with their own packs, which can be one way of strengthening member bonds.

Do wolves ever kill other wolves? Yes. Wolves will defend their territories, often fiercely, especially when food is scarce. They may harass and/or kill other wolves that trespass.

Wolves aren't the type to hold a grudge. When two pack members squabble, they often reconcile immediately afterward through friendly interactions.

These are all things needed to know before writing anything related to wolves.
