The traits of modern-day vampires are pretty well established. They have fangs, drink human blood, and can't see themselves in mirrors. They can be warded off with garlic, or killed with a stake through the heart. Some, like Dracula, are aristocrats who live in castles.

Clinical vampirism, more commonly known as Renfield's syndrome or Renfield syndrome, is an obsession with drinking blood. Therefore, sometimes people think of themselves as Vampires and actually having this syndrome.

A person may become a vampire in a variety of ways, the most common of which is to be bitten by a vampire. Other methods include sorcery, committing suicide, contagion, or having a cat jump over a person's corpse. {DO NOT TRY THESE!!}. And this info is pretty much unreliable.

Blood can be compared to food and drink for humans; vampires require blood to drink in order to survive. ... While all vampires need to consume blood, some depictions of vampires reject the idea of hurting or killing humans, so they turn to the blood of animals.

In classic European folklore, it was believed that one method, among several, to "kill" a vampire, or prevent a corpse from rising as a vampire, was to drive a wooden stake through the heart before interment. In one story, an Istrian peasant named Jure Grando died and was buried in 1656.

As per a few more searches, I have found a type of hierarchy type of system or kinds of vampires. They are five types of Vampires:- Traditional vampires

                                Daywalker vampires

                                Immortal Vampires

                                Noble Vampires

                                Old Vampires

Traditional Vampires pretty much explain themselves, they have fangs, sharp nails, sleep in coffins. Are handsome/Beautiful. And have pale skin, a phobia from the sun, drink blood, and also every other traditional aspect we generally have of vampires.

Daywalker vampires, as the name suggests are rare vampires, who can walk during the daylight without any harm caused. These Vampires are like any other traditional vampire in other aspects, except the two which are, they can control their blood lust,  and walk in the sunlight. Therefore they can easily blend among humans.

Immortal vampires, as the name makes us think are immortal, nothing kills them, and in other aspects, they are traditional vampires. Also, they are harmed by the sunlight but never killed by it.

Noble vampires are the type of gentlemen we all need as our boyfriends, they are gentle and soft, also they are the leader or important position holders in a clan or any kingdom/business. These, types of vampires, get their food aka blood, after consent.

Old vampires are old lmao!! These vampires are wise, and kind they also share their knowledge with others. The most loved vampires, due to their cool and calm nature.
