Chapter 1: not all it looks

“Princess, the Queen expect your presence in the thrown room right away“ the maid bowed and said outside my door“ For damn sake what did I do this time” I mumbled to myself “ok, thank you I’ll be right there“ As I got up from my bed that was filled with novels that I was writing and reading to get things off my mind. I sigh with frustration

My mother might be gorgeous in front of the public but besides that, after the incident of dad with the vamps, she could never be the same, in my perspective, she has gone into a monster like the vampire that killed dad. She has done so many things to me that caused all of this scar on my body to appear and she always yell about how I only know how to kill, hunt, and defend myself but not dance, sing, smile, and wave like all of the beautiful princesses she made me this way. But I can’t just run away, not in a world like this, I’ll get killed like dad, and I know I need to stay alive for Grandpa, I promised him I would bring peace to this world but rightnow I’m having doubts on myself, mother isn’t even trying either. As I put on my princess dress with pink coloring which I absolutely hate the most. I’m a princess so I have to like all the pink and yellow colors, that’s what mother said, but what she doesn’t know is that my favourite color is Black, White, and Red.

I walk down the gigantic hall of the castle to enter the thrown room my heart race trying to beat out of my chest. Every single step I make goes a long with my heart beat. I’m definitely nervous but what can I say, the last time mother send me to her thrown room was because I did something horrible and she punished me by torturing me.

As the guard open the giant door to the thrown my heart  raced faster. I tried to keep my head up high and look forward. As the door open I can see mother sitting on the thrown like a proud queen putting on her fake smile because some of the citizen were there. I was not aware of this event so I was a bit surprised.I still look my proudest and glide my way in front of the thrown and bow down to my mother "Rise my child” she said  powerfully and softly at the same time. I rise up on my feet and look towards my mother, I wanted to look around to see who is attending this sudden event but I can’t because that is considered disrespectful towards the Queen so I stared right into my mother’s eyes. If I stare deep enough I can feel and see her cold soul so I tried not to. She suddenly stood up and everyone around her bowed down and I did too. ”My loving child today is indeed a special day that will change the kingdom as a whole, today I will declare my daughter Alyssa Davenport daughter of Beldona Davenport will get married in 6 months to a loyal prince from a small kingdom“ she announced to everyone around me gasp in surprised and I almost passed out. I’m only 23! How can I get married in 6 months!! Nono, this can’t happen “everyone, rise”  she smiled. I rise up to look at my mother with an angry look, she definitely noticed and and smiled back at me. “Any opjections?” The queen smiled. No one raised their voice because even though my mother asks she would still punish the people who would talk back to her. As my anger dig deep into me I yelled out without thinking

“I object! You can not make my marry a prince when I’m only 23! I will not marry this prince!” Everyone around me gasp in surprise of what I said and I immediately regretted it the moment it left my mouth.

Instead of frowning at me like she always did when ever I did something wrong, she smirked and said: “If you’re going to object then might as well leave here, you’re useless to me” she whispered in my ear quietly “I wouldn‘t mind if you get killed like your shit Father” My eyes wide open, I realized my mother never loved my father, maybe that’s why she wasn’t there for his funeral. I always thought that she was so upset that she couldn’t go. I still had hope for her after father left, I thought it would be better if Father was here so she would went back to being normal, I always felt bad for her because she missed him that’s why she’s so cold hearted but no. no, there’s no way. what a fucking ***** she is. I grabbed my mothers arm and look her straight in the eyes and said “You are one ***** of a mother” I cursed I can see the shocked in her face as I said that. I looked up and down at her and lastly slapped her right in the face without thinking. I then push her down to the ground as the guards run over to me I ran back to my room, I can hear the guards chasing after me from behind. I locked the door behind me and try to find my backpack that dad bought for me and start shoving my clothes in and my phone, charger, water and some bag of chips that I hid under my bed I can hear the guards banging against my door. I panicked and throw my bag out of the window. In that moment the guards bust the door open. I ran straight out and jump without realizing how high up I was. As I fall through the branches, I realized I made a mistake, the thought of death crossed my mind for a split second but I know I can’t give up now. I try to hold myself together and try to find a large tree branch to hang on. I am really close to the ground so I quickly grab on to something and luckily I made it. I push myself up on the object I hung on and sat their to get myself back together. I look down to see what I am hanging on to and it was a tree branch that was half broken. I realize I need to get off it, I look down to see how far I am from the ground. I wasn’t that far but even if I jumped I don’t know if my legs will survive. I jump onto the body of the tree as the branch that I sat on fell down. Although I couldn’t look I can hear the branch fall and it took seconds for it to hit the ground. I look around and find a branch that was lower and more stable to swing myself to. I finally found a large branch to swing on. I let go of the middle and swing myself onto that branch. Now I can settle down to think about what I’m going to do next and what just Happened. “I really did leave home this time…Where can a place exept me, if I walk I can reach a village somewhere but I‘ll starve, I need to get down and find my suitcase causs I did bring some snacks with me, so I need to find that before I starve. I can’t go back to the castle mom will kill me I slowly climb down from the tree and onfront of me I see the woods. Full of trees. In my opinion it looks quite davishing as the sun light creeps through the cracks of the trees and the bird chriping And singing their native song. “Wow, peaceful…something I haven’t seen in a while” I sigh as I talk to myself I start looking around for my suitcase and found it laying on top of a tree not high from the ground. Well, at least I found it. I quickly climb up for it and drop it down. “Princess!!” One of the guards yelled. Oh no, I got to run!
