Chapter 1 ~ Aka Manto

Hello readers welcome to the next chapter of Occult ~

Hope you all are doing fine😊.

So as we said in the first chapter of Occult that we will conduct Occult stories, so here we are with an Japanese urban legend called "Aka Manto".

But before starting let me explain "what is urban legends?" to whom, who don't know about them.

An Urban legend is a story in a country's folklore which is circulated as true. These urban legends are characterized by originating in or being popularized throughout the country. This urban legends commonly involved paranormal entities or creatures who encounter and/or attack humans but the term can also encompass widespread, non - supernatural rumours in popular culture.

So back to our story "Aka Manto" which also known as Red Cape, Red Vest, or occasionally Aoi Manto is a Japanese urban legend about a masked spirit who wears a red cloak, and who appears to people using toilet in public or in school bathrooms.

Aka Manto is either depicts as a serial killer or a ghost who haunts an old toilet in school. He asks the students that if he/she want a red paper or blue paper to that students who uses the restroom.

Mostly every story of Aka Manto follows this pattern ~

At school late in the evening a student in desperate need of toilet, chooses the closest toilet which is normally avoided by the students; it is older and less well-kept, seperate from the rest of the school, and is rumoured to be haunted. But with no time to search for a different restroom the student enters the restroom and does her/his business, but when they finished and search for the toilet paper they couldn't find any. Then they hear a strange voice asking "Do you want red paper? Or do you want blue paper?.....and the student answers red paper and a moment later she/he was stabbed and sliced up so violently that blood sprays everywhere, soaking their dress and making it look as if they were wearing a bright red cloak. Sometimes later, another student finds him or herself in need of a toilet in a similar situation. They know the rumours that a student died in the restroom, but they have no other choice and uses the restroom. And then sure enough a voice asks them "you want red paper or blue paper?"..... remembering the rumour, this student chooses blue paper. Then al of the student's blood is sucked out of their body, leaving them dead and blue-faced on the floor.

Although there are many variations of this questions. Sometimes some students also choose other colours other than this red and blue colour.....one example was when a student chooses the yellow paper the result is that their face is pushed down into the dirty toilet water and held there until they drown. Or in some instances students have been able to escape by saying "i don't need any paper" buying them just enough time to run out of the bathroom before anything happens.

So mainly this version of story started to circulate during 1930's influenced by the true crime story of "ao getto" murder, or blue blanket murder. In Fukui, Japan in 1906, three family members were killed by a man wearing a blue blanket over his head. It was assumed that they were brutally murdered.

So here the story ends for today. Thank you readers for reading it😊....

Meet you guys in the next chapter, till then stay safe😉~ bye~
