Peace POV

My first day at work. Signed a 3 years contract. It was a very generous contract the salary was very good.Finally I can be able to buy a bigger house,Full time housekeeper also a car.

I arrived in my office early and prepared my office, just to give it a life , On my table I had my pic with my friends also my babies picture, I had a little flag next to the door, something to remind me home. Then I settled, I was given 10 contracts to look at, which would take the whole day.

At lunch time , I made coffee for myself and went back to the office, started working again till I heard a knock

"Come In"

"Miss Okiri, Mr Brown wants to see you" Mr Brown is the CEO, I saw it written in his office which is next to mine

"Okay thank you" She went out. I took a deep breath and went to the CEO.I knocked on the door "Come in", I almost fell on the floor when I saw Mr Brown , he looked very familiar but he had green eyes instead of blue, but he really looked like Gerald.

"Sit Miss Peace" I guess he couldn't pronounce my surname

I sat down

"You must be the new lawyer in the building"

"Yes Mr Brown"

"Call me Andrew" I nod

"I'm very interested in knowing you and I hope we going to work well as a team"

"Me too Mr Bro..Andrew"

"Welcome to the team"

"Thank you" I smiled

"You can go back to work" I nod and went to my office, the day continued very well I was able to at least finish 3 contracts and submitted them.

At home. I cooked for the kids and myself and coaxed them to sleep. I had to look for a permanent housekeeper, I couldn't hire my babysitter since has kids also so she wouldn't be able to come and stay with us, So I posted online and also searched for available flats to rent to buy, I liked a few and took their contact, I was going to call the tomorrow, I went to check my post again and had 30 comments I took their details.

I stayed for an hour and went to sleep.

Following day

Went to work, I did 1 contract and decided to make one for the housekeeper, I called all 30 of them and set interview for Saturday and Sunday since I wasn't working on weekends, also called the owners for the flats and set Friday to go view them.

Lunch time

I got a call,It was from Mr Brown saying he wants to see me.

"Hi Andrew

"Peace, Let's go have lunch"

"Lunch?" He nod

"As friends"

"Okay" we went to a coffee shop

"So Peace what brings you here" he looked at me with a curious face

"Left home to look for a job this side, In Nigeria there aren't many opportunities for a lawyer so I decided to come this side"

"Mm that's interesting"

"Have you ever been in Nigeria?" I had to ask, this guy looks exactly like Gerald maybe he told me a fake name back home and changed his eye contacts

"No but my brother does visit Nigeria time to time but he last went 2 years back" by now I was so curious and hooked

"What's his name?

"Gerald Brown" I almost chocked, he was my facial expressions and how shaking my body was , I literally went numb.

How will I face him now? But I'm so mad at him, How can you sleep with someone then leave without anything except for a name? at least he could have given me his number

"Excuse me" I quickly left the shop, luckily the shop was in the building I quickly went to restroom
