Chapter 2: I am Princess

I opened my eyes when I felt the burning light vanish. As always, I sniffed the air deeply and signed… the saying, 'There's no place like home' is really fitting to this situation.

I am Reanna Árasha De Pangaea La Brindely, 3rd Daughter of the 1st Duke, Marrion Arde De Ventus La Brindely. If you are wondering what nonsense I was spouting then listen first and judge after.

This is Brindely Kingdom, in the world Uriphea, the parallel world of Earth. Located in the North, and the second biggest continent among others. Here, it's a lot more different than Earth. Yes, Earth is advanced when it comes to development and knowledge but Uriphea is advanced in discovery and magic.

Long long time ago, when people of this world broke out a war against themselves and other races. A warrior called Nephius was said to be a child of Luna, the God. Nephius as a demigod has a power to defy the rules of the world. When his beloved wife Amriah died because of Elves, Nephius' wrath broke out, he used his power to exterminate the Elven race but then he got out of control, bringing his own death upon himself. The uncontrolled destructive power left by Nephius was still wreaking havoc until it caused a fracture in the space. That fracture grew larger and larger, until it revealed an unfamiliar sight inside the fracture. And that sight is Earth itself.

Thanks to the magicians, who conducted research and studies after the war for years… They discovered the unknown parallel world called Earth. Since the fracture is created on Uriphea, only Uriphea people can see it, Earth people can't even notice it. That's why generation after generation, until my generation, we can now cross worlds since the platform is created and enhanced.

Anyway, enough of the history. I ran inside the carriage that's waiting for me, and immediately went home.

"Princess Reanna, how was your search for a groom? Is it successful this time?" Asked by Emily, my personal maid. She's full of expectations and excitement.

"Considering that this is my last day to travel Earth, of course I did my best. The search is successful." I answered. As soon as the carriage stopped, I immediately ran to my father who was waiting by the entrance and hugged him.

"How was it, any luck?" Father asked, and patted my head.

"Yes, father. And he's different." I proudly answered, we entered the drawing room and sat on the couch as the servants prepared tea for us.

"Huh? Earthens are relatively weak compared to us Uripheans, you must be making up stories so father won't be disappointed" Savanna said and rolled her eyes, she's my ill mannered half-sister. My brow crooked at her remarks.

'What's this bitch's problem?'

I can feel the veins on my head thickening in annoyance. But I pulled myself together and smirked at her. I waved my hand and a screen appeared, a photo of Alecsies helping me remove the magical crab, and the photo where he smashed the magical crab with just his bare hands.

Savanna's face reddened in anger when I showed her my smug look. Savanna is my half-sister on my father's side, her mother is a sluttly maid who drugged my father in order to bear a noble's child within her. Savanna is the product. Though her mother died in childbirth.

"What an interesting fellow… I can't wait to meet him." Father said his eyes were fixated on the screen.

"How's he able to smash the magical crab? Are you sure he's an Earthling? and not an Earthen imposter?" Savanna pointed. I never get to check because he's in a hurry at that time. "He's your future groom-to-be, You should've asked to confirm. You're so slow."

'This bitch…! One more and I swear I'll mop her on the floor.'

"Respect your sister Savanna." Father said without looking at her, his eyes were still on the screen with a smirking face.

'What's with him…? I know my future groom is handsome- …Wait, is he… is he trying to covet him? Even my father was captivated! What more if it's Savanna who has a bitch's blood. This can't be!'

What I'm trying to say by coveting is that my Father is searching for talents, by talents, what I meant is an innate strength without magic buffs. Just like what Alecsies did as he crashed the magical crab effortlessly. Magical crab has an equivalent toughness of a Blueshine crystal or Diamond crystal in Earth's tongue. "Father, I've decided. I'll stay on Earth for a mean time until I get his affection. I will pursue him no matter what." I said with conviction as I threw a sharp glare at Savanna's way. "But I will of course come back from time to time to check everyone's well being. Also, so you won't worry about me while I'm there."

Today was supposedly my last trip from Earth, but considering the moment I brought Alecsies to the Hyenas' Den (Ventus Mansion), while doesn't have any affection for me, then he is bound to be stolen by them. I can't let that happen.

"Why? Isn't it better to bring him here, I'll hire famous professors to teach him what he needs to know, if you want, I'll even make him my right-hand man to prepare him for you." Said Father who got panicked, "And staying there for a long time is not good for us Uripheans, unlike Earthens, the only thing we lack is their flexible immunity. Earth has a tiny bit of mana compared to ours, you'll only suffer mana deprivation."

'As I thought, he really does like to have Alecsies as one of the Talents he sponsors.'

Ventus Duchy became a laughingstock due to that incident.

"Alright… I understand. Just don't let anyone hurt you once you're there, be careful as always Reanna." Father exhaled deeply as he pulled me into a hug. Savanna clicked her tongue and left.

"But Father, could you look after Savanna while I'm away? I'm afraid she'll ruin my plans again just like usual. Don't let her come to Earth until I turn Alecsies' attention to my way only." I said while pouting.

Fortunately, Father views his offspring equal, he neither favors nor neglects us. But once he gets tired of cleaning after his offspring's mess, he'll treat you indifferently exactly what the offspring deserved. Just like a certain someone who walked out.
