IF FATE, THEN WHICH ONE OF THEM???

Two guys entered our classroom with our homeroom teacher, but I least bothered as I had to complete my homework before the lecture.

The homeroom teacher cleared his throat and started his welcome speech, “His name is Liam and his name is Auberry. They will be in our classroom from now on and ----” I was deep inside my work book, writing with maximum speed, as I had to complete it before the class starts; completely ignoring what was going in the background.

Suddenly Mr. Fei, squeaked out my name, “Anna, they seem from your earlier school----“. I thought he caught me completing home work in the classroom.

I almost bowed till the point my nose touched my knee, apologizing for not completing the homework. Suddenly two voices repeated the same words, “you still don’t complete your homework?” As I saw in front of me, two similar faces appear in front of me.

One was Liam, my first crush and other was Auberry, my first bf actually ex-boyfriend. “You!? and you?” When I was lost in my thoughts with my stare fixed, wondering if I was dreaming, Mr. Fei interrupted, “So you all know each other? Good then, Anna, help them cover all about their left-out portion and I don’t think you will feel lonely as you already know Anna; she will introduce you to entire school but you must focus on studies.”

I was in complete shock, even Mr. Fei’s taunt didn’t matter. All I thought was one thing, why are they both here? Is it a coincidence? I wanted to say it’s fate, but which one of them was my fate?

Mr. Fei’s lecture started, for the first time in his lecture I thought that it shouldn’t end. All students in our class started gossiping. Suddenly Auberry in his usual attitude asked Austin, the person beside him about if I am single? Pretty enough to start rumors.

I gave Austin a death stare, he gave his helpless look to Auberry. Auberry whispered something into his ears, while smirking at me.

Instantly Austin seemed to have told him everything. After listening to him Auberry loudly said, “Oh! So, she is famous and all rounder as she scores well, plays sports and is even an artist; but at same time she is also weird as she never does homework or assignment. So, most of the teacher even hate her; she doesn’t have any friends cause’----” “Stop!” I exclaimed; I was furious with anger.

But at that time, I also know that only he can make me lose my anger. “You both can continue your conversation outside the class till I take you to principal’s office. So, please get out! And let me complete my lesson” Mr. Fei suddenly scolded. We almost forgot that were in the class. We both walked out.

“Hi Anna, so you are still the same?”, he said in a friendly manner as if nothing had happened. “Huh! Like you care” “Don’t be that rude, I know you hate me but it was a misunderst—” “Misunderstanding!? You left me was a misunderstanding? You ignored me was a misunderstanding? You didn’t reply to me was a misunderstanding? How many things were a misunderstanding? You can go around joking like nothing happened but I can’t”, I said all I wanted to say which I had kept in my heart for a year.

The bell ranged, which meant the lecture ended. Liam hurried out of the door, “Anna, are you fine? Why are you crying?”

I was so busy venting out my anger, I forgot I was outside the classroom. Everyone was about to gather and I wanted to hide those tears. “Liam suddenly pulled me towards him, and hold me near to his chest.

I quickly wiped my tears. I was going to back out, when Auberry pulled me out of Liam’s arms. What a scene! Almost everyone saw it.........

"I don’t think I will ever be able to clear this" , I murmured to myself. The gossips about us three being in a love triangle spread like fire.
