Another day started. Another day being trapped. Another day of the living hell she called her life.
She opened her eyes and her gaze fell upon the alarm clock on the ground. She knocked it over, as always, causing it to stumble off of the nightstand when it rang. She could still hear it inside her mind, so she picked it up and set it back on the nightstand.
She got up, out of the bed and she strode over to her closet. She took out a outfit for school. Not that she really cared about her looks, she wasn't attractive at all. In her eyes she wasn't at least.
She put on the clothes she had chosen and took the stairs to the living room. Her mom was preparing her lunch and she offered her a kind smile. She took her breakfast and ate it, absentminded. She got out of her daze when she heard her mother calling her name.
"Were you listening?”
Her mother exclaimed, a slight tone of fury hidden inside it.
She nodded her head, not wanting to get in trouble, but she didn't know what it was about. It was probably not important.
When she arrived on school, she made way to her locker immediately. She unlocked and opened it, took out the right books and looked on her class schedule where she was expected to be.
As she arrived in the classroom she was the first one and took a seat by the window. She took out her books for that class and her notebook and opened it to check what they learned last class.
She paid attention when the teachers give important notes for tests, but when they had to do homework she often dozed off into her own world. She forgot mostly all of the information they shared and was glad she always wrote it down before she forgot it. She glanced into the woods just outside the school fences.
She was so focused on the forest she didn't notice the person sitting beside her. A guy had entered the classroom and took place next to her. She had never seen him before so she assumed he was a new student here.
She jumped up when he tapped her shoulder to greet her. She glanced up at him and looked away embarrassed.
"So-Sorry."
She stammered flusterd.
"Its fine."
The boy answered with a gentle smile.
She smiled awkwardly back and then looked away, her eyes on the desk in front her.
"What's your name?”
"I-it's H-holly."
She hestitated, and looked back out of the window, resting her chin on her hand.
She was pulled out of her daze once again by her teacher, who had stepped into the classroom a good 5 minutes ago. He cleared his throat and began explaining, so she noted down everything like she always did. The boy beside her had issues with keeping up with the rather swift paced lesson.
When the teacher finally finished his class, Holly put down her pen, but she shoved her notebook in his direction and looked away.
He looked at her in surprise but eventually a smile lit up on his face as he started to quickly copy her notes. She didn’t let it notice, but she smiled to herself knowing she had helped him.
