Anzu
A young girl named Yamanda Anzu sits in the drawing room reading William Shekshphere Hamlet aunt, Mrs. Hirawa has forbidden her niece to play with her cousins Niko , Hatsuki and the bullying Riku . Riku chides Anzu for being a lowly orphan who is only permitted to live with the Hirawas because of his mother’s charity. Riku then hurls a book at the young girl, pushing her to the end of her patience. Anzu finally erupts, and the two cousins fight. Mrs. Hirawa holds Anzu responsible for the scuffle and sends her to the “dark chamber”—the frightening chamber in which her Uncle Hirawa died—as punishment.Two maids Miss chira and Luna , took Anzu to the dark-chamber and Anzu pleads them with all of her might. Once locked in the room, Anzu catches a glimpse of her ghastly figure in the mirror, and, shocked by her meager presence, she begins to reflect on the events that have led her to such a state. She remembers her kind Uncle Hirawa bringing her to Tokyo after her parents’ death, and she recalls his dying command that his wife promise to raise Anzu as one of her own. Suddenly, Anzu is struck with the impression that her Uncle Hirawa ghost is in the room, and she imagines that he has come to take revenge on his wife for breaking her promise. Anzu cries out in terror, but her aunt believes that she is just trying to escape her punishment, and she ignores her crys Anzu faints in exhaustion and fear.When she wakes, Anzu finds herself in her own bedroom, in the care of Mr. Alex , the family’s kind apothecary. Luna is also present, and she expresses disapproval of her mistress’s treatment of Anzu. Anzu remains in bed the following day, and Luna sings her a song. Mr. Alex speaks with Anzu about her life at Tokyo and he suggests to Anzu's aunt that the girl be sent away to school, where she might find happiness. Anzu is cautiously excited at the possibility of leaving Tokyo . Soon after her own reflections on the past in the dark chamber Anzu learns more of her history when she overhears a conversation between Luna and Miss chira. Anzu's mother was a member of the wealthy Hirawa family, which strongly disapproved of Anzu’s father, an impoverished clergyman. When they married, Anzu’s wealthy maternal grandfather wrote his daughter out of his will. Not long after Anzu was born, Anzu's parents died from Cancer which Anzu’s father contracted while caring for the sick
