First Step Towards Goal

Hi, my name is Joy Lee, the chief of the company “ANR ARTS”;one of the top ranking companies of the entire nation. This was my dream to become the chief of my own Company. But back then it l was just a goal, Impossible to grasp. And now I finally made it. Five years ago, I don’t know what actually happened but before. could realize, my life had changed, the way I never wanted. That day I lost two persons who were precious to me; I lost my best friend Rica; she had a bright smile every time I looked at her. And the one arrogant boy, who was like the light of my life.I miss him; I miss them a lot…I was in a deep thought of my past experience that I stopped typing in the middle of the office work. Then Assistant Lily’s voice wakes me up from my past and I realized that I’m crying so hard. Yeah, I miss them so much.

Lily: What happened? Why are you crying Ma’am?

Joy: Nothing…. Nothing had happened. I’m fine. Do I have any meeting today, if not I am going outside.

Lily: No ma’am you don’t have meeting today. But we have an important meeting tomorrow with the president of Gain’s group.

Joy: I know that…Okay then see you tomorrow.

Joy come outside and sits on the bench of a park which is in front of her company. She leans on the bench and closes her eyes; she is just trying to relax a bit.Her silky white hairs are flowing over her eyes by the breezing wind. After sometime she opens her eyes and goes back to her casual posture. Looking around the surrounding she notices a dazzling object flying over the flowers and, no surprise, it is a butterfly. Wandering from one flower to another the butterfly finally lies over her head which looks like glittering and it seems the glitters sprinkle over her face then suddenly; she sees a change of the surrounding, there are so many glittering butterfly flying in a beautiful rose garden… and the wall…she stand up and just trying to touch a rose…but her vision become unclear …and when she again open her eyes, she is in the park sitting on a bench…she doesn’t even know what was that…it was like she travelled from here to that unknown place…she ask herself.

Joy: What just happened? This place…oh! Am I just dreaming? What kind of dream it is? Whatever! It is just a dream; I don’t have to think much.

Joy goes back to her house.

The next day…In ANR Arts

Director Xu: President Gain, I heard that Miss. Joy is not an easy person, please don’t say anything improper, it’s really an important deal for us.

President Gain: Director, you don’t have to teach me how to converse in a meeting.

Inside office-

(I am going to attend meeting with that person who ruin my life. Ha-ha…Be ready President Gain to pay for your sin you did.)

Joy entered in the hall, president looked at her and he is being shocked all of sudden …

President Gain: Joy, what are you doing here???... Ah! Is this your company?

Director Xu: It seems you two know each other.

Joy: Yes, Director .we two know each other very well.Right Mr.Gain ?

President Gain’s thought:

(She is… How is she even alive? Did she know about what I did to her? No…No she doesn’t know…No one knows...Right...I don’t have to worry about it. Five years passed nothing has happened in these years, and nothing will happen in future. This deal is important .so...go with the flow Park Gain.)

*President Gain’s full name is Park Gain. He is an experienced businessman having sharp eyes for deducting the profit and loss.

President Gain: Yes, nice to meet you Joy…oh...sorry Miss. Joy

Joy: It’s really nice meet you again.

Lily: Mam, can we start the meeting?

Joy: Sure, please sit President Gain.

Director Xu explained about the deal.

Joy: your deal is interesting President; okay then let’s sign the contract. We are now partners.

Director Xu: Sure Miss .Thank you so much.

Mr. Gain and Director Xu left.

In Joy’s Cabin

Some documents are left open on the screen of the laptop. Files are stacked on the table. She is leaning on her chair.

JOY: Lily, if I have meeting tomorrow then cancel it. I will go to check Gain’s company tomorrow.

Lily: Okay ma’am,…but..

Joy: Do you want to say something?

Lily: You know it’s risky to invest in their company, so why..you?

Joy: I know what to do. You don’t have to worry about it.

Lily: Joy..!

(What? Joy? Did she call me Joy just now? It’s been a long time. Really I am just shocked. Because after working with me as my assistant she just gave up calling me by my name. Lily yeah..she has been supporting me for the last few years. She was with me when I am alone, broken. After Rica, if I consider someone as my best friend, best supporter, she is Lily. If in this world no one can

understand me, then she is the only one who can.)
