Chapter four: The fear emotions.

Mary woke up at 6 am to prepare herself to go to her new school, although she wasn’t enthusiastic about going because she doesn’t know a single person out there or how Miami people behaviors look like and that’s what made her scared and worried if she gonna do well or not.

Suddenly someone knocked on Mary’s room door.

“Yes, who is it?” Mary said in a calm voice.

“Miss Gomez, I’m the housekeeper Wendy, can I come in?” Wendy replied in a high tone of voice.

“Oh Wendy that’s you, yeah of course come in” Mary said and continued her talk saying “How can I help you dear?”

“Good morning miss Gomez, I’m here to see what kind of food would like to have in your breakfast”. Wendy said.

Mary got silent for seconds because that was her first time to be asked about what kind of food she wants, and then said “Good morning darling, please call me by my first name Mary, Regarding the food menu you can do whatever is usually done in this home cuz I’m pretty okay with anything”.

“Okay miss Gomez, I mean miss Mary” the housekeeper replied, smiled, and got out of Mary’s room while she was closing the door.

Mary wore a blue T-shirt, jeans, a pair of white shoes, and a watch. Then she took her backpack, which has two notebooks, pens, a ruler, an eraser, gum, her phone, her headphones, a bottle of water, and a lunchbox.

Once again, someone knocked on Mary’s room door.

“Yeah Wendy?” Mary said thinking it was Wendy.

“I’m your mom, come down to have our breakfast sweetie” Grace said while she was smiling.

“Oh good morning mummy, okay let’s go” Mary replied.

Mary and her mother had their breakfast, which contained so many kinds of food and fruits, with Sara and Sebastian. Grace asked why Gerry was not with them, and then Sara replied by saying that Gerry eats his breakfast usually in his company to save time.

“Dear Mary, I know it’s freaking scary to be around people that you don’t know, but don’t worry too much because you’re strong just like your father and lovely like your mother, and with time you will have many friends and you will get used to everything for sure” Sara said trying to calm Mary and make her less nervous about her first day in school.

“Thank you auntie, you’re so sweet” Mary said.

“The chauffeur is waiting for you and Sebastian outside to take you to your schools” Sara said.

“Thanks auntie, but I’m gonna use the bus” Mary replied.

Mary didn’t want Miami students, teachers, and administrators to think that she’s rich and treat her well just because of that.

“Oh alright darling, do whatever suits you, love you and have a good day” Sara said.

“Call me if anything bad happens in school, show them who’s Mary Gomez, FIGHTING” Grace said loudly.

“FIGHTING” Mary replied loudly.

Mary waited for the bus to come, and then she got on the bus. She was listening to music by using her phone and headphones, but there was a boy who was sitting behind her staring at Mary constantly and trying to let nobody notices him.
