Episode 1

Lilly was living with her brother and sister-in-law at the heart of city as she prepared for national exam after graduation. She was full of hope and dreams for her future ahead. The city life motivated her even more as she dreamed of living in of those high end looking apartments with her beloved mom and dad one day. It was sunny outside, illuminating the entire city covered with endless apartments and clusters of traditional looking buildings. She wondered how many people are there, wondering and dreaming about the future they are going to have and would be having.

"Lilly, what the hell are you doing? If you have time to laze around like this, why don't you go and wash the clothes? ", came the sharp voice of the person she is starting to hate. Her sis-in-law was standing in the doorway of her room, looking at Lily as if she is just a maid in their house. "But I just finished doing dishes after lunch! I will wash the clothes later", Lily replied feeling tired. "What? You are complaining just because of this regular household chores? If you don't want to do, I will ask your brother to do then", she threatened. Lily loved her brother as he never mistreats her. She could see that even her brother is defenseless against this evil woman. "okay, I will do it now. No need to bother him", Lily replied as she stood up to go in the bathroom. "Oh while you are in there, can you clean the whole bathroom too. It stinks now that more people are using it", she added as if like Lily was that 'people' who is making the bathroom dirty. Lily felt miserable but held her head down. She needed to survive this phase and get through the exam to get good job offers.

As Lily was busy doing laundries, she heard someone ringing the door bell. She was wondering who could be coming to visit their place. "Maybe some of that evil woman's friends", she thought and busied herself. She heard the voice of some man taking and wondered maybe their male friends. She expected her sister-in-law to call her any time to make tea or something but no one called her. So she didn't bother to come out. After sometime there was silence and she could hear her sister-in-law just chatting around as normal with brother. Well who could it be? Lily wondered.

After making the bathroom sparkling clean and taking the laundry to dry in the balcony, Lily headed to her room. As she was about to open the door to her room, a young man at around his early twenties was coming out from the adjoining toilet. She looked up to see who he is and was met with the most mesmerizing twinkling eye looking at her. At about less than five feet, Lily had to strain her neck up to get a better look at the tall man. He must definitely be more than 6 ft and Lily felt like a Lilliput comparing to his overbearing height.

"He is the son of my adopted mom. He is staying with us. I forgot to mention that. He was staying with his friend during this summer holiday",came the voice of her sister-in-law. Lily nodded and then remembered that they were very close with their adopted parents. That must be the reason he is here, she thought. "Hi, I am Lily. Nice to meet you", Lily said as she smiled warmly to welcome him. "Oh I heard that one of the sister will be coming to stay here. It must be you", he replied, flashing his bemused smile. "Well, guess so", she replied shrugging and went inside her room. He followed her inside. They chatted for awhile and Lily learned that he is staying with her brother while studying in one of the private high school. "Well, you can call me sister as I am obviously older than you. If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask", she said as she genuinely felt that as being the member of this family, she will need to make him feel at home. She could see that her sister-in-law hardly care about him. He smiled and nodded.

Lily could not take her eyes of him as he sat there in the room fiddling his smart phone. He is very tall and handsome and every time he smiled, his eye twinkled with genuine feelings. She felt like he is looking into her soul whenever their eyes met. Lily shook her head and reminded herself that he is just a high school boy and few years younger than her. He will never look at her with same feelings she is having, she thought.

Over the next few days, he always came back from his friend's place and chatted with her about some random stuffs. Soon the summer holiday came to an end and he had to come to stay with them as he had to take lunch and dress up from her brother's place. Lily never thought about anything, other than trying to be welcoming and helping him feel at home. She hid her feelings and always called him younger brother.

Her heart always fluttered excitedly whenever he was around and Lily found a friendship in him. She loved seeing him daily and waited for his return from the school.
