Next morning arrived sooner than I wanted it to but it was time to go school. Seraphina said goodbye to her parents and headed out the door. I was in her backpack zippered away from the sun and I wanted to scream to her that this was a terrible idea but it had been my idea in the first place and I didn’t want to seem cowardly just because I was in a dark backpack. I heard it when we entered the classroom because it was so blissfully quiet out in the hall and as soon as we stepped into the classroom all of that wonderful quietness was gone. I heard her talking to the teacher about showing the class something her father had gotten out of the pyramids from one of his archaeological digs and the teacher I could tell I didn’t need to see her face to tell that she was very pleased with Seraphina’s offer. She said thank you and headed back to her seat and then the bell rang and I heard a few stragglers get into their seats and the class began. It was an awesome class from what I could hear from inside the backpack. Then she told the class that Seraphina had an ancient Egyptian artifact to show the class and I nearly passed out because this might be my only chance to ever see anything besides her backpack and her room and the park where we go for runs. She pulled the Scale out and everyone gasped and I looked around and saw Yami or at least it looked just like Yami but it had to be Yugi Muto the boy Seraphina had been talking about. He looked shocked and in amazement and now it was my time to shine. I stepped out of the scale and took on a spirit mist like form so it looked like the scale had some remnants of long lost power which in reality it did. I spread my wings out and I made sure that Yugi saw every inch of them before I disappeared back into the scale and the teacher was practically vomiting every single comment there was to be told on the earth to Seraphina. She nodded and thanked the teacher politely and took the scale back to her seat and sat down. Yugi turned around and looked at us and I saw a brief but distinct pyramid-like shape around his neck which could have only meant that he had the millennium puzzle. Yami had had the millennium puzzle with him wherever he goes and I don’t believe for a second that he would just let the millennium puzzle be in plain sight to see if he wasn’t around to watch it. Then the bell rang and I told Seraphina to go up to Yugi and ask him but when we turned around to ask him he was already there and he was asking like where had she gotten the scale and did she know that the scale contained powers of long lost pharaohs and other people. She looked down at me accusingly and I shrugged apologetically. She sighed and told him that she did and he looked at her and showed her the millennium puzzle that was around his neck and I had to restrain myself from coming out and asking him all about the puzzle that was around his neck. 15 minutes later it was just too much to bear. I stepped out of the scale and showed myself to him and I asked him do you know about the powers your item holds? Do you know anything at all who the previous owner of that puzzle was and he said he did and he was here with him but that he only came out in spirit form. I told him that I would like to see this spirit and that I knew him from a long time ago, during ancient times of the egyptians. He blinked and said that don’t be disappointed if he doesn't remember you because he can’t seem to remember anything about his past at all. I turned paler if that was even possible. He was quick to reassure me that he might remember me but that it was highly unlikely but at least it was better than him not remembering me at all, right? I just couldn’t bear the fact that he might not remember me at all. That thought was going to head straight for the garbage can but the thought stuck and I couldn’t forget it. I wanted to find out if he still remembered me. That was one of the only thoughts that ran through my brain would he remember anything about me or was I just an unimportant part of his life. Then Yami came out it was so funny he reacted exactly like I thought he would he was so shocked to see he was out in the open and there was no duel in sight we would only be outside to watch duels or to duel each other but that was just about it he never really did anything else with me that I knew of. He was like, “Hey this isn’t a duel, what do you think you are doing!” I missed it when he had said that when we were still in our era of time. I couldn’t help it. I laughed and he looked around and didn’t see me and I felt that whatever Yugi did to make Yami's spirit transfer into his own body that is what I needed to do so Seraphina. I told Seraphina what I was thinking and she agreed but that this cannot become a regular thing and I told her that I make no promises because of what happened with the letter and my death and she agreed reluctantly. I told her to speak the words I told her and she whispered them so no one else could hear them and I was pulled into her body and it fitted every aspect of mine and I felt no discomfort at all and she whispered to me don’t get to comfortable in there because I quite like my body and I laughed silently. I turned around and saw Yami looking at me with those piercing violet eyes that in my lifetime that I just could never say no to. He still looked as achingly handsome as he did when we were still alive and in our own bodies. He looked at me closely and asked me what I wanted from him and I asked him do you remember me from your past? Do you remember the name Seraphina Guardian/ Keeper of the Scale? He looked at me confused but there was some sort of fractured look in his eyes that only someone who knew him before could recognize. The love that was always in his eyes when he saw was gone and was replaced by confusion and hurt and disappointment when he could not recall me from his past and I asked him if he was truly Yami then could I see his left temple. He pushed up his bangs and those soft lush locks and I saw the scar I had given him the very first time I actually met him. It had been a complete accident. I was fighting in the arena for the Pharaoh's entertainment and I was in the area with my two Katanas in hand. My opponent was using daggers and lots of them. He swung and missed. I ducked and took a swing at him, he blocked with two daggers. He swung aiming for the throat. I leaned back, landed on me and heaved myself upward, taking him off balance. He took another swing at my face and this time I swung my leg out and hit his legs with the hilt of my swords. He went down. I swung my blades in a high arc and they came crashing down on his daggers and they both flew out of his hands. Then he reached into his dagger belt and pulled out a broad sword and blocked my attack as I came heavily down with both Katanas. He got up and slammed into me and one of my blades flew out of my hand and embedded itself in the sand and my he came at me again this time I dodged but he was ready for it and as soon as I dodged he twisted his own blade and threw my sword up and over straight at the pharaoh and it had hit him in the face on his left temple and I ran over to grab my sword and had stabbed my opponent in the gut and he gargled up blood and guts then I slit his throat to end his suffering and I raced over to the pharaoh’s side and realized how handsome he was and knew that if someone didn’t stop the bleeding he would die but I thank the gods that it hadn’t been deep otherwise he would never have made it. He was losing so much blood and I knew that I had to get a cloth but no one had any right on hand and the doctor’s were on there way but they would never make it in time so I tore at my dress slicing off a long strip that made my dress look like a strippers all the other woman there gasped, one fainted when I told the pharaoh I was going to place it on his temple to stop the bleeding he nodded and I told him that he needed to relax and so that I could place the strip on his face without it hurting him and he nodded ever so slightly and I gentle placed the cloth on his temple and nearly all the woman there fainted. He let out a small yet distinct moan that only I could he and I whispered to him that I was sorry that I couldn’t not keep a tight grip on my swords and he smiled ever so slightly and when he smiled his whole face seem to change and become so achingly handsome I could have dropped dead because he was so handsome. I have no idea what made me do it but I leaned down and kissed him giving him my first kiss and he reached up and took my head in his hands and sat up slowly and I wound my hands up in his hair and after a little while I broke the kiss and excused myself and told him that I was sorry that I had done that and that it was not very smart that I had done that but then I realized that he was completely healed only a white scar remained but even that was really small you wouldn’t even know it was there until you looked for it and I told him this and said that I had to go and get cleaned up, then I left.
