Prologue

The sound of a pen could be heard throughout the silent room, only filled with the breathing of two men and a baby.

Setting down the pen he used to sign his name for the final time, the young man hard to describe with only the words handsome and beautiful with his black hair and green eyes, held back a smile.

A few more words were exchanged between him and the man before him, before he was left alone with just the tiny girl, looking just like a doll with her black hair and golden eyes.

He took a deep breath before running his delicate and flawless hand through his hair.

The young man turned to the tiny baby who also looked up at him.

After some time the baby smiled and stretched her hands out towards him.

Happy to obey his baby girl’s wish, the young man picked her up and showed a rare, small smile down at her.

“Ember, my one and only daughter, your father is finally back and he’ll never let something happen to you again.

Daddy’s sorry for being unable to protect you, but he’ll make sure you live the life you deserve.”

With that, the eternal young man, Aubrey Brennan, finally accepted his sins and started his life once more.

This time he would never let the only person he ever cared about suffer for his mistakes.

He was finally home.

[ Note: This story will start nine years later.

A few months before the zombie apocalypse actually arrives.

At that point in time Aubrey has used his skills and abilities he has collected throughout his many lives to create an empire both in the shadows and in the light.

But he was always mysterious and never met anyone under his own name, but with a pseudonym.

He gave all his time to his daughter and gave her a life where she could have anything she wanted.

Of course he prepared her for the real world and trained her in the many fighting techniques over the course of her childhood, for he knew the apocalypse was coming and he could do nothing to stop it.

So when the first chapter starts Aubrey will be twenty-eight, almost twenty-nine, while Ember is nine.

This book is also a BL so if you don’t like that please get lost, no offense, I just don’t want haters.

Though is you are homophobic and want to read this story feel free to stay, but if I find any hate comments (not that I’m expecting anyone to actually read my story) I won’t be happy.

So again if you would just leave that would be much appreciated because that way we could all live our lives just a little happier!
