Lying on this cold and hard ground the only thought that comes to my mind is that am I going to die here today. I am an unlucky black cat. Everyone says that I bring bad luck.

Maybe they are true. Maybe that's the reason my previous master died. I was the reason. Maybe my death will make everyone happy.

It's cold and my body hurts but it is nothing compared to the harsh words the villagers say or the disdainful looks I get from the people. I don't have any hope left. This world is too cruel to show pity to someone like me. All because I am a black at who is said to bring bad luck.

"Oh, you poor cat", the voice was soft. It reminded me of my previous master. A kind old lady.

I was enveloped in warmth and when I looked up I saw a girl with blue eyes and jet black hair. Why was she doing this? Doesn't she know I bring bad luck? I don't want bad things to happen to someone so nice. She was the second person to show me kindness.

'Don't do it...'

I wanted to shout at her. I wanted to let her know to leave me to my fate. I wanted her to let me die her. She doesn't deserve a cruel fate just for saving me. But I couldn't.

I am too exhausted and her arms are too warm to be rejected. And it was way too difficult to ignore it.

"Don't worry, I will take care of you", that was all I heard before exhaustion took over me and I became unconscious.
