First Day of High School

I'm sooo excited to be a high school student. A senior, what do you think? But, it was just for a moment until i received a call. It was my bestfriend. She told me we will be in the same section. That was not a problem until she mentioned about my crush. I was shivering at the thought of it. I couldn't even think what to say further. "Hey, Maya, are you alright?" she asked. "I-Im alright."

"Are you sure? you don't sound good." "I told you I'm good." "Okay, btw aren't you excited to meet him?" she asked excitedly. But, I know deep down, how nervous I am. He's bossy yet kindhearted. He's so attractive that no one can resist him. I'm sure, almost half of the girls of our school had a crush on him. But, he didn't seem to care. "Maya, how can this guy be so heartless? He doesn't even seem to care other's feelings." "yea, but Krishi, sooner or later he'll fall for me. He will only be MINE!" I winked. "Don't be so selfish Maya." We giggled. Then, suddenly we heard one of our classmates whispering, "Hey! wasn't he staring at Maya just now?" "What if he was staring at Krishi?" the other classmate asked confusingly. "No way! I don't think so. It's Maya for sure. Afterall, she is our school's second beauty queen." "Wait, where is the first beauty queen? I haven't seen her since the morning. "Me too. Maybe she went for the modelling competition." "yea, maybe. I'm excited to see the outcome. Whether Aaron(crush) is going to fall for Maya or the first beauty queen, Melinda." "Their will be rivalry for sure. Haha." one of them replied. "obviously, there will be. I'm having mixed feelings. I love Maya. But, still I'm going to see which of them will Aaron choose." "me too" the other member, of the gang replied. "Students, head back to the class immediately." the class teacher ordered.

Everyone returned back to their classes. Our class teacher started delivering a lecture on a topic. which, first of all, I didn't understand a bit and secondly, I was so sleepy that I would have slept the whole period if the teacher gave me her permission. The moment I was about to head down, I heard Aaron's voice. He entered the classroom late with his gang. "Where were you Aaron? I know you are the topper of the class. Still, it's not appropriate to enter the class late. You have disturbed other students." the class teacher said. "I'm sorry, ma'am. Actually, i went for the modelling competition. I didn't know it'd be this late." Teacher suddenly smiled and said, "It's okay Aaron, it's not your fault. I didn't know you had a competition. Come in." "Thankyou ma'am." Seeing his good side, Krishi whispered to me, "He behaves so well infront of the teachers. But, infront of us, he becomes such a devil. He's indeed good in acting. I don't understand which is his true self." "okay, enough, don't think too much. Otherwise your face will get wrinkled soon." I said jokingly. We laughed until I felt a soft touch on my shoulder......(To be continued)
