It didn't really matter to Jake as long as he was dressed. He took his phone off the dresser and stuffed it into his pocket. He quickly finds he doesn't have any. He grumbled and tossed his phone on the bed, deciding not to carry his phone with him because he didn't see why he needed it in the first place. He dashed along the hallway, passing his sisters' room, hearing some loud snores along the way. He made his way down the stairs, through the kitchen and living room. Because his and his sister's parents had abandoned them, the house was mainly vacant.

He took a glance around before opening the front door and departing. He raised his eyes to the night sky above him.

"**** it's cold," Jake said dryly to himself as he began walking. As a cool air blew through, he began to shiver somewhat, some of his skirt rising slightly. He decided to keep walking and soon arrived at a Cafe across the street. His area was just next to the supermarkets, so he didn't even need to make up an explanation for why his father had abandoned him.

He walked into the coffee shop as soon as he heard the bell ring. The establishment had a welcoming atmosphere with a faint coffee aroma in the air. He attracted the attention of a cashier employee. "Hey! Come on in and place your order.

" The cashier waved, his features scrunched into a strained smile. Jake thought he may as well get a latte for himself.

"Um—I'll have a caramel latte with extra ice..." Jake's order sounded more like a question.

"OK, sir, is  that all?, And do you want to pay before or after your drink, sir?"

Jake quickly realized he didn't have his money or anything else on him, but he really wanted a latte right now.

"Um- after..." Jake came to a halt. The cashier entered Jake's order into the machine and began making it in front of him.

A few seconds later,

Jake was welcomed with a Carmel Latte in front of him.

"Thank you," Jake replied as he reached for the drink, which was quickly yanked away from him.

"Sir, you must pay first..." The cashier gave him a sidelong glance. Jake was a little worried since he assumed he meant after he finished drinking, he could have just taken his time and waited for the cashier's shift to end so he could have free coffee.

"Sir....Sir....Sir, can you pay now in cash or by card?"

For a little while, Jack and the cashier remained silent.

"Is it possible that I won't be able to pay?" Jake said sheepishly, his gaze drawn away from the other.

"No, now hurry up and pay.....my shift is coming to an end." The cashier said the final portion in a nasty tone. Jake snatches the coffee from the other person's grasp and books it out of the café with the latte.
